This is a really lovely building in attractive surroundings. It's a popular wedding venue and is a great place to come for a few summer drinks by the pond. We stopped here for Sunday Lunch and were seated in an upstairs room, not the actual Orangery. I was disappointed the only menu we were given was for roast dinner as... More

Over the years we have often stopped at the Moat House to have lunch in the bar or by the pond and every year we have a private lunch function there. But we rarely get the chance to dine in the restaurant. However last weekend we managed to find a good excuse and stopped overnight at the hotel on our... More

We have lived in the area for over 30 years, and this was out first time dining at the orangery restaurant, why o why have we waited this long? Absolutely fantastic, such excellent service, fantastic quality food. Will most definitely return. At the top of our list. Thank you.

The restaurant staff were professional (obviously training is of paramount importance) and friendly and the food fantastic.

Visited here with friends just over a week ago for dinner. Although we arrived early, owing to a mis-communication amongst staff, another group were given our table and seated ahead of us. However, the staff realised their mistake immediately, and were kind enough to give us a free round of drinks as compensation without asking. As such, this wasn't an... More

Booking is advisable. There were four of us who visited here and had a range of food from the menu at a reasonable price for its setting and the type of food . The Orangery looks out onto the canal on one side and this is where our table was so we spent an evening watching the boats come past... More

I recently had afternoon tea in the orangery. The service was excellent. The table was laid attractively and the atmosphere was relaxed. The food was excellent in taste, presentation and quality. The service was excellent and I enjoyed the experience immensely. It was value for money with a selection of sandwiches, 3 cakes and a scone. The coffee was good... More

Superb evening!! I can’t remember the last time I had a faultless dining experience. It was our 6th wedding anniversary and have made this our ‘special’ place to visit each year. Upon arrival we were taken to a good table, but spotting a vacant table with a canal view I enquired about being re-seated (as we were booked in for... More

Fantastic food , service and atmosphere as usual , simply the best in the midlands. Village must be really proud of this place, setting is also idyllic, great place for weddings, birthday parties or if you can afford it a meal every day.
