Excellent food & service

The staff were very friendly and attentative. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in the area.

my husband and I have been going here for many years and have always found the food and staff very good, over the last few weeks the heating has not been working but the staff have been very good trying to look after you and run a pub, especially Arron and Sam, on Saturday we went for a meal to... Although a chain, Chef & Brewer, this had a good feel, with staff who appeared to be happy at work. The food was good, although it was slightly disconcerting to be told the items were not available as they were changing the menu in a couple of weeks time!

Vegetable ravioli contained just mushrooms and tomato sauce, none of the chargrilled vegetables, spinach or mozzarella were included as described on the menu. These meals were refunded after we complained but the staff appeared to avoid our table for ages afterwards and we were hoping for deserts instead as we did not eat our meals, but after a half hour... Visited with a family member to catch up. It was busy as the restaurant down the road had a power problem. After initially being told we could sit in the bar area and order at the bar, when I tried I was informed this is difficult. However a passing member of staff said that he had a table in his... We never write reviews but hope this will be read by management and they do something about what seems to be a downwood spiral of a lovely pub situated in a great place. We have beeen going to the Three Horsehoes for over 4 years. Even when there was no heating for weeks on end! The pub is looking tired,... More

A really tricky venue to review IMHO. It could be really good but little things let it down. 1) The side you see from the road needs a darned good wash - you wonder if it's actually open 2) They had written our booking down wrongly and couldn't find it - fairly basic stuff 3) The portion sizes are hugely... Weekday lunchtimes are great good food and surroundings and the staff are pleasant too... Go there when It's busy and it's Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde persona soon engulfs what is at best a unremarkable dining experience, I've seen gloss paint dry quicker than service there on a Saturday, I cannot speak for Sundays as "Roasts" are always something best...
