5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014 NEW

After a 300 miles drive we were ready for a good meal and a pint or two, something the Plume of Feathers offers in spades. The pub itself is a traditional Inn, bright and airy with a rustic charm. The beer is kept well and the food is delicious. We had a mixed fish platter, two others had steaks and... More

We have been coming to the Plume for over 30 years while on holiday and it has generally been good, though had a period when it tried to go upmarket and away from its core market. This year it was very good, with good beer and good food, nothing too fancy and good portions at a reasonable price. Also the... More

We are local residents and have used the plume over the last 20 years the last time we were there we ordered the home made burger and it was fantastic our visit on the 1 july was very a different experience we expected the burger to be the same quality but were very surprised when it arrived to find it... Not too sure what to expect having read previous reviews, but we had a great evening meal at The Plume, excellent and.cheerful service, good atmosphere, and lots of choice on the menu.

We visited the Plume of Feathers pub in Portscatho as we are here on holiday. What an excellent pub and fantastic food. Very friendly atmosphere and dogs are no problem. Although it was quite busy for a Monday evening we were served straight away and did not have to wait too long for our food. I started with lightly battered... More

Attended the pub after booking table for 7.15. We attend this pub every year whilst on holiday in Cornwall. We noticed that the pub had recieved an internal facelift, and has attempted to look more 'up market'. Instead of placing your order at the bar you now have waitress service. Having waited for ten minutes for menu, we went and... More

It's a pub, pure and simple. Good, honest food, well cooked and just what you need after a long walk along the coast path. The atmosphere has been friendly and convivial each time we have visited. Seems as if booking is essential for evening meals, especially at the weekends. In short, a great plate of ham, egg and chips for... More

We visit this pub regularly and the food has certainly improved since he new owners have taken over but there is inconsistency in the service,Young waiting staff doing their best but poor management and lack of communication between bar and restaurant . This could be a great pub restaurant if it had better management. There is very much a feeling... More

We came here on a wet Sunday in May with our children. The waiting staff were young, but helpful. We had booked a table for 12 noon but were told inexplicably that orders could not be taken until 12.15. It would have been better if we had been told to book a table for later to avoid our children getting... More

Dropped in for a meal during an annual visit to the area. Pub has changed hands since our last visit and loo the better for a lock of paint and new upholstery but everything's seems to have gone more expensive e.g. meals which very nice we're however quite pricy in comparison to recent years for example £12 we ended up...
