We are a 17th century traditional Cornish coastal pub, offering hand pull beers and great food. Colin & Paul Marriott, yes twins, you're not seeing double, took over the Plume from Graham Thomas in October 2013 after Grahams mighty 35 year reign and are indebted to him for his grace and support. His legacy of a friendly welcoming pub continues to be paramount. We are building a great team here at the Plume. Great Cornish Pub

Lovely, friendly welcome. Some very good local beers and the food was very good, or what I saw was. I had a Brie and bacon sandwich which was excellent. What a nice place. Will certainly be back

We ate Sunday Lunch here over Christmas holidays and it was super! Delicious food, nice decor and albeit busy, the service was lovely. Sat next to the open fire and with everyone in a holiday mood it was a super atmosphere.. best sunday lunch in years.

Having the luxury of staying just thirty yards from the Plume one couldn't ask for a better pub on your doorstep. Great food wonderfully friendly staff and a beautifully festive decorated bar with a roaring open fire, a gem of a pub

Excellent pub food, good St Austell's beer. Two family visits in the the last three months and on both occasions we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. All the staff were attentive and friendly - making for a great family evening.

Didn't eat here, didn't even drink here (had a cup of tea!) but was mightily impressed by the beautiful Xmas decorations, the open fire and the staff, who were chatty and helpful. Apparently the locals decorate the pub each year in exchange for a free meal, and it certainly benefits from their touch - lovely lovely spot.

Stopped in while walking the coast path. Admittedly it was ten thirty am but a sign said come in for coffee and the door was unlocked. Met by rude staff, congregated around the bar smoking inside and was told rudely there was no coffee to be had and to try St Mawes. Many miles away, especially on foot ! So,... More

Dear RT T, usually we would welcome any and all constructive feedback, sadly however in this instance we feel this review to be an unfair, damaging and a completely unnecessary representation of our business. Especially knowing how hard all the members of our team work to ensure our guests satisfaction. Whether it be popping for a coffee, casual drink or... More

We have eaten here several times and the standards remain high. Though the cost and portion sizes are not now what they used to be. The service, as ever, was spot on and the ale was kept well enough. The last time we ate here we could barely stand as the portion size was definitely suited for those who work... More

Dear ptcarlicksmith, thank you very much for your recent review and all the positive comments you gave us regarding your visit. We are very sorry to hear however you were not 100% happy with your meal due to portion size. We are not sure when you may have last visited as we have had a new Chef since June 2014.... More

We have visited this part of the world almost every year, and sometimes twice a year, with our children, for many years. Our trips would not be complete without popping into The Plume for a pint and a bite to eat. Good ales, really high quality food, friendly staff and locals.
