A lot to like.....but not the best

First off I like the fact that this place is byob. Everything was good but nothing stood out as being exceptional. Would I go back? I would. Is it as good as say Wolfgang's in Somerville? This steakhouse in Morristown is all the better because it is BYOB-helps keep the cost down. All the food, from appetizer to dessert was very well prepared and presented, and the portions are good sized. All the vegetables, sides and salads can easily serve two people. The steaks were perfectly prepared. Now, this is not an inexpensive place. Four of... More

Well worth a visit, with the benefit of being BYOB, which is a big plus, as far as i'm concerned. Had a 42oz T bone, not quite black and blue, med rare, and sides of green beans, and mash, followed by crème brûlée. Service was warm, and friendly. Highly recommend, if in the area.

We arrived for dinner at 7pm...were seated in the center of the floor, closest to the hostess stand and front door. Everytime the door opened we were blown away by the breeze...so much for warm/hot food. The food in itself did not seem to be well-matched with the accompanying sauce for both the Tilapia and Skirt steak. Both entrees were... More

Great steak and because it is a BYOB it represents a great value. We went once about a year ago and were not impressed but went back based on reviews from friends. We're glad we did as the steak was very good, the service was very good, the setting was very nice....great dining experience!

This was a good meal. This is not the best steak you'll have at a restaurant in Morristown, but it's solidly good. I had a NY Strip and it was cooked to perfection. Cheaper than other options like Roots, but not on that level either. About 45 for a steak with a-la-carte extras. High, but not obscene. And the BYO... More

It has an exterior that can easily missed if you are not looking for it so be attentive. There are prix fixe options one is a 3 Course ($50.00/person) and the other is a 4 Course ($56.00/person). The entrees are priced from $46 to $56 individually so you are forcibly steered towards the 3 or 4 Course meals. Their steaks... More

Made a reservation 2 months ago for New Years Eve 2015. I received a phone call tonight 4 days before the upcoming holiday telling me that there is a $75 prefix menu that is mandatory. My reservation is with 10 people, half who will Not be able to afford that, hence why I reserved here... BYOB and no prefix menu... More

We have visited several times and really enjoy the filet mignon, creamed spinach and salads. I prefer to Roots because the quality is on par and the cost is more manageable (BYOB Is a big help on that). And our service has always been good and friendly.

We tried this restaurant a year ago. The service was average. A person in our party had a steak that didn't taste good and didn't smell right. We thought we'd give it another try. The service was slow. At one point the waiter disappeared for 20-30 minutes. A person in our party ordered fish. It was served not fully cooked... More
