I travel to Cromer frequently to visit family and Bolton`s Bistro is always a favoured choice for a family dinner out. The booking this year was for a party of 11 on New Years Day and although the reservation was made late the staff were most accommodating in catering for all our wishes. The menu offered a good choice of dishes... My wife and I were in Cromer on Sunday looking for somewhere for Lunch to polish off a quiet weekend away and we spotted this unlikely venue. From the outside it looked like an extension of the Hotel it resides within, but once inside you see the character for itself. The waiter was very polite and welcomed us in very... More

We thought we would try Boltons whilst visiting the area. We were left disappointed! I ordered the Seabass; and my partner the Lobster; I couldn't find my fish due to the amount of thick sauce poured all over the fish! What is a delicate fish was ruined by a gloopy sauce which was over powering and over cooked the fish... More

Excellent food and staff the menu was varied. Comfortable setting. Service was quick and at no time did we feel rushed. On the 2nd visit. Staff had remembered small details about our trip which was lovely. can't wait for return visit

We had excellent meals - crab and lobster thermidor for my husband, who was celebrating his birthday, and roast duckling for me - served by friendly staff in a cheerful, bustling environment. The price was reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening..

Although staying at hotel next door, we decided to visit here for a lobster meal which was very nice but have had better. We also had lunch there which was very expensive for sandwiches for two and a drink each. The fillings were very inadequate for the price paid and really cannot recommend them.

We went here last month for the first time as we had family down in the area and really enjoyed our visit. We were looked after very well by all the staff and were very impressed with the standard of food. As this restaurant boasts that it is a quality seafood place i had the lobster and crab thermidor dish... More

We visited Boltons last night. It Is situated within the Cliftonville hotel, which is a fine example of a Edwardian seaside hotel. The restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was the star though! They have a wide range of dishes including daily specials, the portions are really generous so be nice... More

Fabulous, helpful staff. Called in at last minute on a Saturday night, peak holiday time. they couldn't have been more amenable. Tasty food, maybe too much of it, but overall good time had by all!
