Booked as good review from "Tripadvisor" No sea view as such. Restaurant scruffy. Chairs need to be replaced. Decore poor. Staff good, but again scruffy. Crab good, veg adverage. Price ok.

I assume that the reason that the Trip Advisor ranking of this restaurant is not in the first few places is more of a reflection of the profile of contributors of TA than of the restaurant itself. This is probably the best place to eat in Cromer; I say probably as there is one place that I didn't try. For... More

The main meals were very nice but had better. Main moans were the price of the wine and something which I considered a bit of a cheap con - when the manager had taken our order he asked if we would like bread & balsamic, nice touch I thought but it appeared on the bill at nearly £5, really took... We have been here a few times and had an adequate dining experience. The food is good, but don't expect fine dining. As bistros go its about par for the course.

We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Saturday night in Cromer and came across Bolton's Bistro in the Cliftonville Hotel. Whilst the Bistro was fully booked we were offered a table in the main restaurant for the same food/price. We actually preferred this as it was quieter. We ordered one starter and two main meals. All the food... More

One of the finest meals I have had in ages, We had a party of six and everyone was satisfied with what they had ordered and all thought it tasted really really good thank you. The Bar staff Colin and Oscar did extremely well after the meal was done thank you both.

This was my first visit to eat at this restaurant associated with a traditional seaside hotel - The Cliftonville. I was in a large party (18) gathering for a celebration: so our meal was pre-booked and our individual menus pre-ordered (our name places at the table indicated what we had choice. The food was well presented, there was plenty of... More

We ate at the Bistro last night, more by chance than design, but were pleasantly surprised by the decor and atmosphere. The service was exceptional without being pretentious and the food was truly excellent. We eat out a lot and can honestly say that this is the best meal we have had in a long time! Well done to the... More

Ate in this bistro last night and the service and food was excellent. The menu choice was abundant and the seafood was a superb speciality. My husband had steak and I had the crab and the taste was of the highest quality. Portions are very generous in size with lovely side-dishes that accompany well. Would definitely eat here again.
