We were invited by friends to dinner at the El Rodat. It was a fiesta in Javea so we expected the restaurant, which has mainly Spanish clients to be full, it was not, even the bar was more or less "dead". On our first day in the hotel, we tried the restaurant there and were pleasantly surprised. Very inventive dishes. Hotel and Spa just fab. Gourmet restaurant was a bit "wannabe" but not quite. Staff - must be some of the friendliest - I travel alot.

I would normally avoid most hotel restaurants like the plague, but was very impressed with the food at El Rodat. The resident chef clearly takes his job very seriously, as shown by his focused and well put together menu. We chose the sirloin steak with mustard and ketchup for mains.
