I'm not a big meat eater, but I had the children's size fillet steak, and it was perfect. Most of the staff are very friendly & helpful. Really nice setting opposite the mountain plenty of outside seating.

Great setting with wonderful views of the Montgo. It really is excellent value for money. Portions are enormous. There is a menu del noche with three courses for around 20 euros but it would be a feat to finish 3 courses. The main elements like meat and fish and very good quality. My only criticism is that some of the... More

Had dinner at El Gaucho twice - costs more than some other local places, although set menu price depends on what you have as a main course. Included in price are bread/dip, small bowl consomme and sorbet as well as 3 courses. Portions are huge. Steaks were delicious, cooked as requested. Service very good.

El Gaucho is now well established having been open for almost 3 years. It is a popular restaurant and booking is advisable. The quality of the food is excellent. In the summer you can enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace. No sign of any mozzies etc. presumably helped by the plants surrounding the patio. Food is nicely presented. House... More

We had 2 good meals there in Sept 2014, including a Saturday night. Yes they were busy, especially on the Saturday night but still produced good value, well-cooked food with a good standard of service. Wines, apart from house wine (which was very drinkable, BTW), I thought were a tad expensive. But good size, inexpensive brandy!

The daily menu includes a starter main desert or coffee, bread and 1/2 litre of wine. This is superb value, the main courses are priced and that is what you pay for the whole menu, I started with Mussels in a Thai sauce followed by filleted Sea Bream steamed in a banana leaf with a small amount of vegetables, I... We had been recommended to try El Gaucho and went with high hopes but it was not as good as we had hoped. The setting is lovely with very nice decoration and flowers on the terrace. As we look at the reviews on Trip Advisor we know that a lot of people really love the place so this will be... More
