Astonishing value - like watching Messi for 5 euros

To be honest I was a bit nervous about going back to Bon Amb as I wrote a review 6 months ago entitled "so what exactly do you have to do to get 2 Michelin stars" and around 1,000 people have read it. The true mark of a really great chef is consistency. It took me 5 minutes to realise... read more

Lovely good! Superb taste, but take your glaasjes to find it. 3 Gamba's, snotter starter some smoked very nice pieces of fish bidden in cucumber, I almost couldn't find them. Lovely food, really, but 3 courses, some amuses, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water, Pffffff, € 184,- And still hungry. Thought I went to a restaurant to... More

Modernist small portion sized fusion/Med/French dishes with highly intricate and complex tastes. Expensive (for the overall area), especially taking into account the lack of scenic views (other than own Garden area), and portion sizes. Would recommend for highly special occasions and when people are not too hungry.

Excellent meal and experience from the moment we set foot in the restaurant. The cooking is fantastic and experimental with great care taken from the staff to explain all aspects of each dish. An extensive wine list with plenty of Spanish and local wine. I will be returning in a few months for one of their fantastic tasting menus. I... More

I have eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants and this should have two stars in my opinion. It is certainly the best restaurant in the area. The food is creative and the wine menu extensive. If you want a treat (not cheap) try one of the three degustacion menus including a matched wine with each course.

During my professional career with a Fortune 500 global corporation I was fortunate enough to have travelled the world experiencing many first class hotels and restaurants. Since retiring we have continued to enjoy really good quality meals and service both here in Javea - at Tosca's & La Gourmand - plus London, Brussels , CapeTown, Johannesburg and Paris so not... We enjoyed the tasting menu with the wines which were very good and the detail and description of the wine was explained very professionally. The food description was a not so good but adequate. In all a very pleasant experience which was worth the fairly pricey cost.

A gourmet experience. Among the most interesting food I have ever tasted. We had the chefs tasting menu with matched wines. Each course was elegantly presented and challenged the diners' senses. This meal was expensive, but compared to such a meal in any major urban centre was incredibly good value.

We had a lovely dinner and a great time. Price value is OK for the quality! We will certainly visit this restaurant for special occasions again! A charming waiter recommended the perfect wines and the evening was fantastic!
