We have being going to javea a couple of weeks for 10 years and for the last couple thought about eating at Sofia's but never quite made it. Well this year we did and really glad we did. It's a small restaurant - probably 30 covers. The service was good and the food very tasty and certainly freshly made. It's... More

I go to this area of Spain one a year and always make this the one place that I have to go to. The food is always fantastic and very reasonably priced with half a bottle of wine included. There is always a very good choice of food with great specials plus some interesting dishes such as the monk fish... More

Not the best location in Javea, with no outside space and no car parking. I agree with the comment "a little corner of England, or Scotland in Spain". We generally prefer Spanish food in Spain, with the genuine Spanish atmosphere, but that is not easy to find in this touristy area. We also usually go for more modest prices, but... More

Not situated in the greatest part of town but once you are inside the restaurant it is relaxing and comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly and the menu although not large is very good. For 3euros extra I had the best duck breast I have ever eaten cooked to perfection in a stunningly good light sauce. The starters are imaginative and attractively... We went to Sofia's for the first time with friends who are regular Customers, unsure of what to expect. Well we found a very busy corner of England. The food was generally excellent, the parsnip soup delicious. the fillet steak (with a 7 euro supplement) was cooked to perfection, mine medium, my wife's medium rare, both very tender and served... We haven't been to Sofia's for a couple of years, but you are always assured of a warm welcome. The menu isn't huge but enough choices to make diners happy. Some dishes are, however, an interesting combination of culinary styles.

We'd had some disappointing and overpriced meals at other restaurants in Javea, so decided to visit an old favourite. The Sofia's menu may have undergone a few changes, but the food was as fantastic as ever! The main courses were especially tasty. I had the fillet steak, which was rolled in peppercorns and accompanied by a mustard creme fraiche. A... More

We have been to Sofia's many times. Service has always been on the slow side, especially at weekends, but forgiven by the excellent standard of the food. This week, however, with the only chef, one waitress and no helpers, the waiting between courses was interminable. I'm all for a rest between courses but this was ridiculous. The food was also... Went with some friends for a birthday. Took some time to get drinks and menus then had to wait a while for main meals. Food was nice and presented well but need to improve service.
