WHAT A GEM - FANTASTIC STEAK.

If you are staying at the pueblo acantilado suites , which as stated in my review are lovely , do yourselves a favour and walk or drive up the steep hills towards the motorway and look for the signs on the left for the supermarket , not brilliant but the only affordable shop for a few miles. When... read more

Went to El Poblet Denia in March to see the Fallas Fiesta. We were at 140 which had been well prepared for our arrival. The owner even put in a bottle of pink champagne to welcome us. Due to a hold up getting our rental car we were running late. I contacted the owner who was waiting at the property... More

I read the reviews on El Poblet and despite these We wanted to try for ourselves. We were warmly greeted by the restaurant manager who was very helpful checking if we had any preferences, dislikes or allergies. To start we ordered a glass of Cava and the sommelier opened a bottle for us, and explained in detail the grape, vintage... More

Be prepared to have all of your senses indulged, not just your taste and smell, as El Poblet (aka Quique DaCosta) truly is a feast in all sense of the word. Seeing the minimalist, laid-back surroundings, so out of character with the neighbouring establishments, we knew we were in for a treat. I visit with my wife (several times now)... More

Of course this restaurant is not average although my review points are. Average for such a famous restaurant with Michelin stars and expensive. Decoration is cold. The food looks beautiful but some times you ask yourself if maybe too much effort went into the look. Some dishes were very tasteful while others just a blend pretty look. Service was very... More

I visited this highly feted restaurant in June on a Friday evening with three friends. We drove up from Alicante with our hopes high. The restaurant is stylish and minimilist. We were greeted and taken to a garden area where we sat and read the menus while glasses of champagne arrived. The waiter tripped over the table and spilt my... More

This is my second review.......the first one was deleted !! Weeds from the Montgo? Chicory in Ribena tea? Half a snail? Flowers from a flowerpot? Who's kidding who? Only 6 diners on Easter Saturday....no atmosphere. Cold tasteless unseasoned food at extortionate prices !! One 3cm crayfish and one Denia prawn each cost 36 euros and they were tasteless. This used... More

We were in Denia for the weekend and decided to have a blow out meal at this 2 Michelin rated restaurant. The restaurant is in an old house decorated in a minimalist style. The service was impecable. We had a menu de degustacion which comprised of some 10 courses. What was most striking was the presentation - incredibly inventive. Some... More
