Great eating in historic part of Denia

La Llauradora is on a pedestrianised street in the old part of Denia close to the castle. Most of the restaurants in the street seemed to offer only tapas so we chose La Llauradora because it had a 13 Euro set menu. We were given three small starters each including pan con tomate (on home baked... read more

We went to this restaurant expecting to have a nice surprise, after all the reviews, but we were a little bit disappointed. Food is good, but we can find better elsewhere. Service is good and friendly. Nice place overall.

We stayed at the Hostel Loreto next door, and after a morning of going round Denia we came back to the La Laura Dora for a tapas lunch, we did not regret this as it was excellent, as well as good value for money.

We stayed at the Hostal Loreto, which is next door to this restaurant, so La Llauradora de Loreto was an obvious choice. Denia has many restaurants to choose from and we were determined to try as many as possible in our 2 week holiday but we just kept going back to La Llauradora de Loreto because it was our favourite... Strolling along from the town hall into C/ Loreto you will find a varied selection of bars and restaurants. this is one of the best.. The fixed price evening menu at €13.50 was excellent value for money. Everyone at our table was English but one family member claims working Spanish which is how I ended up with hake (which was... Menu is cheap at 10 Euros, but then it is cheap. Very little selection, but what is available is OK. Air-conditioning very noisy so difficult to hold a conversation. When we chose the sweet there were only 2 choices, and the panna cotta was not chilled. Not the best eating experience in Denia, we won't be back.

Our waiter, Mario, served us a weekend menu which was sublime, in value and taste. I was provided with an exceptional vegetarian menu and my husband's 5 course meal was delicious, with wine, it cost us only €40. Splendid value.

Menu of the day plus a bottle of Red excellent value for €37 for two. Dined inside three starters, main course an dessert. Service great waiters attentive and helpful, atmosphere good and the food was of a high standard presented well. Well worth a visit

Smart, helpful staff, typically Spanish interior, air conditioned. Menu del Dia offers a good selection at a reasonable price, all food being freshly cooked, tasty and well presented. Parking is not easy as this is down a pedestrianised street, but it is worth parking on the other side of the castle and walking through the tunnel.

We went here on the first night of our holiday and between 5 of us rather over ordered on the tapas. They were all somewhat larger than we expected, however they were so tasty that we managed to finish them off. So take care in ordering, you can always order more as you go along. We had a range of... More
