By chance, on our way from Pasadena, CA to Sedona, AZ, we found ourselves at this restaurant a year ago. We were lucky to find it again, with the help of the GPS in the car. It does appear that the locals know and frequent this place, with good reason. The service is very friendly and helpful and it was... More

The small town of Camp Verde does not have many restaurants....and so pleased to find the surprise restaurant that is the choice of the locals!! We arrived for breakfast and most of the others were there for lunch. I ordered crispy hash browns, the best ever, crisp all the way through!!! The French toast was Texas size and exquisite with... Good food, quick friendly service, convenient Main Street location in Camp Verde. We tried other breakfast restaurants and this was by far the best. More menu choices than Thanks a Latte,

Looking for a place to eat in Camp Verde, we pulled up in front of Verde Cafe and debated. Our debate ended when we saw three men come out, all locals with dusty boots and spurs, jeans, and cowboy hats. In a town like Camp Verde, the locals aren't going to waste time and money eating in an inferior place.... More

Simple pleasures on a bountiful plate. We had a late start but were hankering for breakfast. Turns out these folks serve breakfast until 3PM.. WOOHOO.. As is my habit whenever I have breakfast at a new restaurant, I ordered Chicken Fried Steak.... I figure if they don't do that right, what's the point. Theirs comes as The chicken fried steak... and I mean homemade, 8" cinnamon buns. They are made at the café every day and if you do not get there early enough, they are usually sold out. They are wonderful! The food is fresh and very good. Ate breakfast there twice. The service is good, the food is good, did I mention the cinnamon buns and it's a... More

We ate here 5 years ago and enjoyed the breakfast then. The cinnamon french toast is really good! The portions are hearty.

This place pretty much matches the stereotyped small town neighborhood cafe. If you need fancy, this isn't it. This was our second visit on a summer road trip and we enjoyed it once again. They serve breakfast until 3, which is great for us breakfast fans, since so few places do that. The food is tasty but the best part... More

I had a cheese omelet, it was very good, the potatoes were certainly food service from a frozen bag, the French fries my husband had were crinkle cut frozen (but to be fair, were clean and not greasy, though I suspect cooked in an oven), the toast good, my daughter had a large cinnamon roll that was average our waitress... We stopped here on our way up to Flagstaff. This is a local spot that is off the main drag. You really have to look for this place, enter it into your GPS because this is a true mom & pop restaurant. The portions are generous and very flavorful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Fast service, good (generous)... More
