Come here before it closes down

There are some rumblings from the Murcia government that this wonderful establishment - family-owned and run, serving delicious, hearty seafood and regional dishes - has to close down. Fortunately things look promising as there has been a sprucing up of the venue - new lick of paint, new menu... read more

While this restaurant is not cheap it provides excellent quantity and quality of food. It is not open everyday so it is worth checking before "just turning up" The staff are helpful and attentive and the location is lovely on the beach.

We have had several meals here. Each very memorable all for the right reasons. Great food and priced accordingly. Excellent wine and very good service . Perfect for a special occasion. Be sure to book as it is very popular and the restaurant has days when it closes for staff rest. Highly recommend.

On the beach at Bonuevo opposite the sandstone towers. Recently saved from demolition and should be able to carry on for many years to come. Hence, they should update the décor and spend some money on the curtains etc. Service was poor. Food OK. Stakes usually good but will not be returning soon.

My (Spanish) husband and I were on holiday visiting his family in Murcia and this restaurant was recommended to us so we drove out for dinner on our last night. We got there at 11.25 pm and were told that the kitchen was due to close at 11.30 pm. We were quite disappointed as we had come quite a long... More

We stopped here by chance, and so glad we did, an excellent location right on the beach, we sat outside, inside typically Spanish. We both had the grilled sea bass, which was delicious, the bread we had was so fresh and complimentary, The dessert was very indulgent profiteroles and chocolate tart both delicious, highly recommend a visit.

Food to die for. All meat based dishes of excellent quality. The restaurant is relatively expensive but totally worth it. The service was the best it could be, staff were trying to speak the best English they could. On the downside, the establishment doesn't offer much for children. The menu is definitely designed for adults. I would definitely go again!

This has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. Situated on the beach with ample parking just over the road. The menu is in English as well as Spanish with a great choice of fish and meat dishes. The house red is fantastic. There is no children's menu but the chef will cook whatever they want. In... More

Over 10 years or so we have eaten in this restaurant. Varied menu, good choice. Had some delicious meals in beautiful surroundings. Food can be rather salty. Service good but on our last visit waiters were rather disparaging, not realising we speak Spanish fluently.

While on a 5 day visit to Bolnuevo, my wife and I ate at La Siesta twice, following a helpful recommendation from the proprietor of The Atrium Hotel. On each occasion, we greatly enjoyed the fish (Hake & Swordfish) and meat (mixed meat brochettes and chicken in almond sauce). The local house wine, Jumilla, is exceptional value and very quaffable... More
