Great dive bar and food experience

This place is in the basement of a building on North Market Street. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and it's fairly small inside but it's good for what it is. It has a dive bar sort of vibe but it's reasonably nice. The menu is the high end of bar food with good sandwiches, etc. the... read more

No ambiance just a town bar with better than average food and cheap beer. Don't bring a large group or expect to be able to carry on a conversation. Bathrooms not the cleanest. The food is the star here.

Wags has the BEST Homemade soups Daily!!! Also has a fantastic selection of sandwiches including the BEST Burger on town! The fries are to die for and I can't say enough about the flavor of the Pit Beef Sandwich! Make sure to get it with BBQ sauce and cole slaw, it is unbelievably good!!! Also a good servers and a... This is the place to go in downtown Frederick. Whether you are looking for a cool place to get out of the heat or a nice place to snuggle and get warm in the Winter, the underground location is perfect. This place has garnered awards for the best burger in town for years, but don't stop there. All of their... More

Excellent ruben and excellent burger served at a small, underground bar. The fries are fresh cut, but weren't my favorite. I would recommend the sandwiches for a quick sit-down lunch or early dinner.

It is a basement bar where lots of locals stop. Lunch time is always busy, the soups are excellent and the sandwiches are wonderful but every body gets the fries. Little dark for me but the service is always fast and the drinks are good.

My hubby and I recently dined here for dinner to go somewhere a little different. This was my first time here in a few years and the sandwiches were just as good as I remembered. The restaurant is cozy and intimate. If you are looking for a good sandwich and not some drive through greasy bag sandwich, this is your... More

I've been eating at Wag's for over 30 years. Their soups are always great...and I love their chili! There's nothing fancy about Wag's...and it is a few steps below Market street, but their burgers and sandwiches are always very good. Be sure and try their fries, very nice! Service is good and the place is popular. Looking forward to my... More

Ate @ Wags tonight. We had very good service, the food came quickly & it was very good. We got the fries with the burgers instead of chips. Very good choice they were perfect. I like that they are not overpriced like most resturaunts.I will go back.

You have to try the Chile at Wags, All the sandwiches are great also, I especially like the Wagster. The beef in the sandwich comes out real hot so be careful. At lunch time get there early or later as the lunch crowd seems to fill th place with to be a lot of local working folks getting lunch. Prices... More
