Great service and excellent food. They have several varieties of roast beef sandwiches which are all great. Also good burgers. yes, Wags is about 6 steps below street level and it is a little dark and dank - but I thought they call this "atmosphere?". In an age where most places look alike and serve the same hamburgers, etc Wags... More

Wags is a typical "hole in the wall" bar but they have delicious food. Their burgers have been voted best in Frederick for years and years. Service is fine. It's small and cramped and dark (it's literally underground!). Go for the food just once if you're in town. But beware because weekends get very crowded and the place is so... More

Basically a long hallway with some tables and a bar, and a small kitchen in the back. Literally underground. This was the place you couldn't see 15 feet into for cigarette smoke before the no-smoking ordinance, and it still retains the community watering hole feel. That's what it still is. Come for Cheese Fries with bacon, cheap beer and maybe... More

We were in the mood for real tavern style burgers, and Wags delivereded. This pub is conveniently located across from the courthouse.

I'm always skeptical when someone goes on and on about terrific burgers. But we finally went to Wags, and folks, their burgers are the best -- done to order with a crisp outside like they came off of my backyard grill. Great fries, too. We were there right after Christmas, and the decor and service were cheery. Just a great... More

My husband and I have been coming here for years. Burgers and Big Batch of fries! Service is great and location makes it feel very rustic....its in a basement, kind of like a Cheers!

If you are looking for a cheap happy hour spot, this is your place. Two for one domestics and mixed drinks fit the bill. It is a relaxed, dark, friendly spot. A nice place to catch up with friends and have a few drinks.

The bar/restaurant is a bit crowded due to limited space so you have to not mind a noisy place to eat. The staff takes great care of you and the food comes out in a reasonable time. You have to try the fries, especially with vinegar. And the chili and reuben sandwiches are great as well!

Voted best burgers in Frederick often. Great place for lunch! Small place with limited seating. This is the kind of place that someday might be featured on triple D with Guy Fierei. Recommended!
