My in-laws took us here for dinner and I wasn't sure what to expect, given the mixed bag of reviews this place has gotten. I'm happy to report that the blackened honey-glazed salmon (one of the menu items most often praised) was indeed marvelous; I ordered the lighter portion and it was just the right size for me to finish... It is not often that my wife and I can have some time with our two daughters. When that happens it has to be special at a special place. This is it. Went there once before and this visit was as good or better. Service was superb and so was the food. Appetizer we liked most was the brie. Steaks... More

Twice now we have returned to this restaurant since our move away from their area, and I remember how the food and the preparation was "king" here. Everything mattered to the owners from the salads to the fabulous seafood and everything was cooked and served to perfection. But now they have a gorgeous, fancy new building (not that new anymore... We had dinner in the daughter's dungeon which is charming without the white tableclothes that main dining room has. The light plate with broiled crabcake, sweet potato and salad Was excellent. the bluepoint oysters and pork chop dinner Got a thumb's up. The dungeon has a large full bar with Tv's and a separate dining room, as well. The young... More

Our family of ten decided to go to brunch at Dutch's Daughter on Fathers Day. The restaurant is very large, on two floors, with elevator. Excellent parking in a lovely surrounding. It looks more like someone's estate than a restaurant. I cannot say enough about the physical plant, it is lovely. However, we came for the food. Brunch at 12:30... More

Whether it's a lunch to catch up, a formal; dining experience or a special event meeting with a buffet, the cuisine is superb - excellent choices, nice portions, delicious food, elegant atmosophere. It's a little pricey, but you really get what you pay for here. Three levels, plenty of intimate seating near the fireplaces or for large gatherings. The crab... More

1st reviewed August 1, 2011 - we go 1-3x a year for special occasions or to treat ourselves. Dined again on Saturday, July 26, 2014. NOT DISAPPOINTED!! We thought maybe it was time to find another amazing place... maybe this is a great place but just not as great as we keep thinking. I had salmon and asked for crab... More

This is a beautiful building, looks like a castle, set back off the highway surrounded by trees. When I got my glass of wine and reviewed the menu I thought, "the usual salad, potato and over-priced entree, with a lump of bread". The service was attentive, even for a solo diner. The Maryland lump crab cakes saved the meal. They... More

I have never had bad food here...the Sunday brunch is great for a special occasion - best deal for the variety. Love the crab cakes and the salmon! The crab dip is delicious! The cream of crab soup has a nice flavor and is quite decadent.
