What a find!

On our way out of town for a long weekend; wanted a nice Friday lunch but didn't want to brave downtown Frederick. Monocacy Crossing fit the bill perfectly. We were able to sit outside; yes, there is traffic noise of course, but the leafy space absorbs it nicely. Service is terrific - when we... read more

Monocacy Crossing offers a cozy, quaint atmosphere for a tasty meal just outside of the Frederick city limits. My first visit to the restaurant was a very good experience overall--service was timely and cheerful, the menu features some excellent options and daily specials, and the ambiance of the dining room was inviting. There's a small outdoor patio area that's perfect... More

Excellent food and a nice atmosphere if that is what you are looking for. If you prefer a dive then look elsewhere because Monocacy Crossings brings it with a capital B. I've been twice with the misses and we've left happy both times.

We selected this restaurant to celebrate our son-in-law's birthday -- three-generations of diners, having an early Sunday dinner. The restaurant has a delightful, unpretentious setting. The menu, however, was quite impressive, with literally something for every taste. The quality of the food was excellent and the preparations interesting and sophisticated. The wine list is also top quality.

We were a little under dressed but that didn't matter. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. The wine list was fantastic! I wish they did frozen drinks but that's not a complaint. We plan on going back this fall!

Monocacy Crossing consistently offers the best dining experience in Frederick. The food and the wine are always great. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. You can even purchase wine to go. Don't be put off by the outward appearance of the property. The chef really knows what he is... More

Got a great deal through TravelZoo: dinner for two with wine for $65 (a savings of about $45.) Having experienced the great service and outstanding food, we'll gladly go back at full price. Try any of the appetizers and you'll see why some people rave about this place. For the main dish, I had the Garlic and Herb topped Beef... More

Three of us visited for a late lunch on a cool midweek day. Had a wonderful Corned Beef Rueben with loads of corned beef, sandwiched with swiss cheese and sauerkraut on a home made Rye bread, served with fresh French fries. Yummy.. Great fresh coffee. Wonderful loaf of bread. Nice warm wood stove kept us war,/ great little place tucked... More

This was my second visit to Monocacy Crossing within the last year. Our first visit/experience was also a bit average as the female server was a bit rude and unpleasant, and the crab cakes were not jump lump, nor anything you'd particularly find in most Maryland restaurants. The second visit we had a decent, albeit flighty server, and I ordered... More
