Very Good Service and Food

Had the pleasure of eating at Monocacy Crossing for a retirement dinner. The service was really quite good, very accommodating servers who had a decent knowledge of wine. They also let you taste the wine before buying a glass. The food was really quite good. Overall, a bit noisy with music to... read more

We had dinner on New Year's Eve at Monocracy Crossing. The dishes we ordered were the mussels (fabulous!), the pork that I always order (delicious), and the cheese plate which wasn't quite what I was expecting as it had 3 cheeses (very nice) along with chutneys, dried fruit, and a huge dollop of mustard that weren't really necessary. We thought... More

If you go here, you have to see the faucet in the bathroom. It's like a Roman aqueduct. I want one for my house. The food was good, and the bread good and plentiful. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get the potatoes with the rack of lamb special, probably because I didn't pay close enough attention when... More

I dont know what all the hype is about this place. The food is ok. Most of the dishes are too sweet. The dishes sound fancy but are not. If I lived in Frederick I suppose I would eat here as the best of the local alternatives but I would not go out of my way to eat here. We... More

VERY tasty adaptations on good American cuisine. The staff is among the best I've ever encountered. I have an onion intolerance and the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating in finding the best choices.

Everyone I know who is a foodie raves about this establishment. I thought the food was just a bit above average, but service was excellent. My husband thought his steak was amazing, but my crab cakes were way over seasoned and too salty. My salad was fabulous, but the cake we had for dessert was very dry. The interior reminded... More

The service was incredible. It's a beautiful restaurant. The food was incredible. I wish I could've tried their wine selection but next time I will

Neighbors had told us of this place, but we weren't too impressed. My pork was pretty good. My wife didn't care for the scallops. Décor is a bit worn...

We had whiskey duck nachos for the appetizer and it was delicious. Four of us went in for lunch on a Sunday. We absolutely loved the décor. Seating was available immediately and we got our drinks ordered. The entrees we ordered were: pork tenderloin in sage/cider sauce; fish tacos; steak; portabello mushroom hamburger. We were all delighted with the amount... More

Everything was...fine. Nothing to come back for, nothing major to complain about. My steak was rare/medium rare, not medium as i had ordered. All draft beers were IPAs, which are popular, but not what we like. Tables were very close to each other. Not a good value.
