This restaurant on a tree-lined street is delightful find and very welcoming. It is obviously German in decor and the staff is appropriately dressed for the occasion. The food is not only German. The swordfish is excellent. The wine and beer is very well served. This restaurant is worth stopping to enjoy the cuisine and the atmosphere.

Food was ok, not as good as expected. But the service was where the problem was. I felt rushed even though we arrived an hour before closing for break between lunch and dinner. Waitress asked about and brought dessert before my husband was finished with his meal. Also overheard several of the waitstaff talking about customers and how much longer... More

Went to this great restaurant with another couple. Had a great bottle of Louis Jadot red wine. Then ordered French crabcakes, grilled scallops, fish n chips, and fried oysters...Wow. Everything was tasty...cooked to our directions....and served by Ruth who did not write down any of what we said, but remembered our order in every detail. Great service Ruth! Don't miss... More

Our group of 12 made a reservation for 6PM this past Saturday evening and found Gladchuk Bros very accommodating. We arrived s little early and were ushered to our table in this quaint setting. One waitress handled our table and did an excellent job. The timing of the drinks, salads, entrees and desserts was superb for a group that wanted... More

We were driving through Frederick Md. Looking for a place for lunch. We saw this charming little place that looked like a cottage in the woods, painted bright yellow, flowers all over the place ( and well cared for) we decided to take a chance. When we entered we were taken aback at how quaint and retro the decor was.... More

First I must say that the wait staff was very friendly. The food on the other hand was not very impressive. My husband ordered the surf & turf and the steak was covered in canned beef gravy. I my ordered the "fresh" swordfish which was supposed to have a lemon butter sauce but tasted nothing like lemon butter. We will... More

Wonderful dinner last night for 4. Each really enjoyed their very different meal: crabcake, German veal, veggie plate & Shepard's pie. Excellent attentive service. Tablecloths. A really relaxing, very enjoyable dinning experience. Pies to die for! Non chain, family owned restaurant.

We went on a Wednesday evening, no wait. Staff was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. They did warn us that weekends are much busier. Dinner and dessert was wonderful! Cozy atmosphere. Absolutely will return!!
