Great food

Great food, nice waitress. Wife had chicken cordon blue, I had pan fried trout. Kind of upscale feel and prices, but worth it. We where visiting Civil War sites and dressed casual, however still felt very welcomed.

Enjoyed this experience thoroughly. Our large party was handled deftly, service was amazing, food was well-prepared (I heard no complaints from anyone in our group). Plenty of parking and the restrooms were clean.

If you remember Hausners in Baltimore, you will feel great here. Same decor, some good art, soft lighting, and superb staff await you just west on Patrick st from downtown. Easy parking too. German specials done very well, ample portions, and an engaging staff made it a memorable evening for,our party of three. The crab cakes were without question the... More

Went here with a large group of 15 people. The service was spot on although I was surprised that the bar could not make a mojito. I settled for a margarita. However the salt ring was not margarita salt but table salt. Entrees were good portions - just what you wanted. The Danish style stroganoff included blue cheese which was... More

Ate here on a Thursday, it was chocolate eclair day - wow, they are homemade and very tasty. I believe I even spotted the owner making his rounds checking on customers to make sure they were satisfied with their food.

This is a locally owned German restaurant and well worth the visit. We were there in a party of 8 and had most of the main dishes on the menu and they all were very good and the portions were more than ample. Save room for desert as they have a wide variety of homemade cakes and pies. If you... More

I eat all over the world, in high end and low end places. The food was average, somewhat bland. I will lower my expectations when visiting this area.

This is one of the best restaurants we have been too. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is Very quaint and cozy. We have not had bad service at this restaurant ever.. They get busy, but the wait staff seems to handle it very well. We have come as a couple and for family dinners, always great! You... More

This is the place to go in Frederick! There's not a friendlier restaurant in town. The food is fabulous! Also really big portions. The rolls and the desserts are made fresh daily, as are the majority of the entrees. Some of the best seafood around! If you leave here hungry it's your own fault!!! They have a full bar, wonderful... More
