My wife and I went last weekend and came away very impressed. Our bill was 100 including tip but you can eat there for much cheaper if you want. I had the veal special which was very good just a little pricey ($30) and we also got a pitcher of red sangria (awesome) which jacked our bill up. But my... More

I drive by Il Porto nearly everyday. It is on the corner of South Market and West South Street. There is not easy parking and Market changes from one way to two way at this intersection. Not an easy place to park. However, it was well worth it! We were a group of 7 on a Friday night, with people... More

I and my wife and friends have eaten hear several times and always enjoyed it. Food is good, drinks well made and wine selection good. I recently had a veal shank special that was superbly cooked and seasoned. Staff are always nice. During peak times it can be crowded and hard to get in, but worth it. Parking on street... More

One of the few places in Frederick that serves properly prepared veal. Sauces are delicious. Servers know the menu inside and out and are perfectly attentive. Worth the hassle of on street parking.

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat before a show at the Weinberg Center. After doing research on TA I selected Il Porto. We were not disappointed. We arrived at the restaurant at about 6pm. The place was already packed (a good sign) and we were immediately seated even though we dd not have reservations. (Next... More

Excellent salad, the consistency it's the same every time. Also the white pizza it is a complement to any meal. No wonder why it has been nominated the best Italian restaurant for 3 consecutive years.

I have to certify no business or personal relationship with the restaurant in order to write a review. I guess that is difficult as I choose to eat there five to seven times a week. I have tasted most items on the menu and can find nothing but good to say about each of them. For hearty eaters, the roast... More

Mrs. Too and I drove through Frederick recently on our way back from West Virginia. Finding that the Red Horse does not serve lunch, we simply continued on through town to see what we could see. At Market Street, we spotted Il Porto, and took a chance. How fortunate! We were greeted by a smiling and quite knowledgeable server, who... More

I always try a pick a different dish for dinner but I keep going back for the sautéed Calamari in red sauce over a bed of linguini and do not seem to get to other dishes. They all look and I hear taste great but my mind is has preset images and just will not let my change. About 4... More
