VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.

Amazing dining experience.

Big plate, small food. Not my typical dining experience but the times I do have the pleasure of fine dining I do enjoy it. The Volt, however, was in a class all its own. My husband and I went to Volt for a birthday celebration. We sat at the chefs table. I am a picky eater but the deal with my husband was I would try everything at least one bite. There were 21 mini courses. It was expensive but worth it. I ate a lot of food I would never have eaten ever... More

We had great expectation, to justify the 3 hours to get there and back. We could not get the table 21, which is probably more interesting, so we sat in the main dining area and selected a six course dinner. The service was excellent and there was flexibility to change one dish. Everything we had vas very good but only... More

I have been wanting to take my wife to Volt since Bryan Voltagio was on Top Chef. We love the show and loved he and his brother Mike on it. We had built it up in our minds and when we finally got there this past weekend it had a LOT to live up to. To be clear, Volt is... More

My brother surprised us with a trip to Volt's Table 21. I had no idea what to expect and was intrigued when I learned we would be dining on 21 predetermined courses. 21 seemed like an excessive number. My brother added the wine flight. The staff asked everyone about food allergies and special diets. A couple of the people at... More

It was a long drive from downtown DC area but I had high expectations. We went for our wedding anniversary but the experience was not great at all. I ordered a glass of Champagne while my husband ordered a glass of beer to begin the dinner. Mine came right away but they forgot about the beer. We sat there with... More

My husband and I went here for our 3rd wedding anniversary and sat at table 21. The host and chef double checked with me about my dietary restrictions and were very accommodating. And the servers were careful to explain what my substitutions were and why. Everything we had was amazingly delicious and 21 courses is more than enough food even... More

As Volt is four hours from our home, we made arrangements to overnight in Frederick on a cross country. The service was excellent, the sommelier very good and reasonable, the food was super; the entire experience what one expects from a restaurant of this reputation and cost. Zero complaints!

Volt is simply the best dining experience you can have. We have dined here several times for dinner, special occasions and we've been fortunate enough to dine at table 21 for one of the best meals ever. Nothing is overlooked from the moment you walk in the door until they send you home completely satisfied. The service, the ambiance and,... More

We occasionally like to visit Volt to try the Chef's 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings. This time we were driving home from the airport and just wanted to relax and enjoy a good meal at a leisurely pace. We arrived a few minutes early and relaxed in the bar lounge with one of their amazing cocktails before being... More
