VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Fine dining at its best

We ate here for the second time this year and enjoyed the chef's tasting menu both times. The wine list has a broad selection and enough reasonably priced bottles in most categories. I've been looking forward to eating dinner here since the first time I visited Frederick. Honestly, I had a mixed response. The food had some lovely notes & some very high notes...and some of it almost didn't register. I would say it was a very nice meal. I'm so glad I went, but I wouldn't go back - at this... More

We had the pleasure of eating at table 21 in Volt last night. Simply fabulous. Table 21 is the Chefs table overlooking into the kitchen. Talk about precision! That kitchen runs like a beautiful machine. It is amazing. The food was ridiculous. Simply delicious....well, it wasn't simple....but was delicious! Table 21 comes with a 3 hour, 21 course meal. Divine.... More

when it comes to fine dining, it doesn't get any higher end than Volt. I'm not a fine dining connoisseur, but wife and I had a wonderful dinner there. very good service. in a converted "brownstone" such as that exists in Frederick. You get what you expect, the most haute dining experience in Frederick rated as average value because it... More

My husband and I booked the 21 tasting which is simply amazing. You'll be seated around a curved bar, with ~4 other couples, watching the chefs as they prepare the 21 tastings. Tiny little meals that make your mouth rejoice. Each one was better than the last, words cannot describe. Now this is pricey, with the wine pairing added, we... More

I'll start off by saying that the service was excellent. The staff was extremely attentive and since it was our wedding anniversary they went out of their way to make us feel special. I expected the decor and ambiance to be much nicer after passing the building by so many times but it was very minimal and bare. We sat... More

having been here before, and spent $$$$ I had planned wonderful valentines dinner with my wife, making reservations for the Chefs tasting more than a month in advance. Valentines Day, the day of my reservations, i received a call saying there has been a mistake and the reservations I had made (way in advance) at 7:00 are no longer available.... More

Drinks are over rated and too pricey. Bar food is the way to go...same food as served in the dining room but priced reasonably. Table 21 (chef's table) is amazing experience and will set you back at least $220 a person without wine....

The food is very good, but the service is subpar based on the type of restaurant, they make it seem I am lucky to be there instead of them being lucky to have me there. I have been to better French restaurants for both food and service.
