Great anniversary dinner

Everything was just right. The tasting menu was great -- six interesting and delicious courses. We didn't do the wine pairing but they recommended several good options and the bartender even made my wife a great non-alcoholic cocktail. They also brought a special, extra dessert because it was a... read more

Recently had dinner, the parsnip soup was good, but not great. None of the flavors it purported. No depth, just pure cream. Then I had the carasecce with green tomato, pancetta, and spinach which was best course. The Brioche was also good. But then the rockfish was dry, no flavor at all. The broth of tomato and bell pepper water... More

Was a little nervous about the vegetarians in our group having enough menu choices to select from but was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see that there was a tasting menu devoted to vegetables and fruits. We didn't do the 21 course chef's tasting menu but all of us did do the normal 6 course tasting menu. It... More

I booked Volt for my anniversary dinner and was not disappointed. Volt has been on our radar since it opened but we never made the time to drive the hour back and forth through traffic to experience what we read about. It took two hours through August traffic to get here but boy was it worth it! We dine out... More

We went to celebrate my birthday. I have wanted to go for years, we finally went! I was a bit nervous as we are not major foodies but love good food. Their willingness to deal with food restrictions was amazing! I got to try foods I don't normally cook with such as sunchoke and see how amazing it is. The... More

serious NY style restaurant, interesting food, great wine list, very good service. The kitchen is open to the dining room and there are seats around it like a bar to watch and eat.....worth a detour in a beautiful converted 19th century townhouse

A visit to Volt had been on our bucket list for some time, so we were delighted when we had the chance to dine at the restaurant, located in a beautiful mansion, with plenty of free parking in the rear. From the time we walked in the door, we received excellent, friendly service from the staff, all of whom proved... More

This is a place that I had on my "must do" list for years. I travel to Frederick and through Frederick a lot and with the notoriety of the chef, it was on my list. In February we finally made it there on a work trip. Make no mistake, I'm not one to shy away from an expensive meal and... More

This is a signature event, comparable to Jose Garces' Volver in Philadelphia. While daunting at 21 courses and a corresponding price tag, this is the edge of the envelope for Chef Voltaggio. And it's an impressive envelope. Don't be alarmed at the number of courses -- they're incredibly well-constructed and sized to facilitate full enjoyment without initial over-indulgence. The diversity... More

beautiful oval dining room for private dining, if no reservations can eat full menu at the bar. I have been here many times in the past years, hosting a birthday dinner in the oval room was the most memorable. It's quite a sight to see 11 servers come in and place the dish in front of each diner at the... More
