Description: VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.

Saturday brunch menu presented only after three efforts to upsell (water, cocktails at 130pm, and a little afternoon vino). The food came out in small tapas sizes, which is ok, but the pretense of being presented your food avec a verbal description of the dish in exquisite detail was almost too much to keep a straight face. Dishes were nice... More

I took my husband to Table 21 at Volt for his birthday. We are both foodies and were excited to enjoy the experience. All of the courses were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed everything except a lamb dish (personal preference) but my husband happily ate that. Probably my favorite dish was the Wagu steak bite. I felt full at the end... More

The food is not bad (far from it), but only a Voltaggio could make comfort food stuffy and pretentious. GREAT bartenders. Salad and soup I had were very good.

Had brunch with friends....very impressed. Great table in the front window, hostess was good. Everything about the brunch was first class...service, food, even the coffee was great. Breads were exceptionally good. Desserts were lacking however...trying to go for beauty and innovation over just yummy. One thing Volt would benefit by: heating the plates before serving hot food. The food was... More

As a long-time Frederick, Maryland resident that has frequented VOLT - Over the top service - excellent food preparation - However, If I wanted Tapas I would have gone down the street to Isebellas.

Several months ago, friends and I headed to Frederick and enjoyed a delicious brunch at Volt. We were so impressed by that meal that we made a reservation to return for dinner. Unfortunately, the dinner experience (while by no means terrible) did not live up to the high expectations that had been set by our brunch experience. The entire table... More

For a special occasion like our 20th Anniversary Dinner, Volt Table 21, offered the best tasting menu for the best price in the Washington, D.C. area. I did several hours of researching reviews before booking our anniversary dinner. We had done Table 21 many years before (before Bryan was on Top Chef) and been to Café Atlantico Minibar and done... This was our first time visiting Volt, and we were NOT disappointed. We visited during brunch for a special Anniversary celebration. The servers were professional, friendly and made you feel welcome and special. The food was very creative and memorable. Every course was a feast for the eyes and the stomach. I saw some reviews that mentioned that it was... More

Not inexpensive at all but worth every penny! Call the restaurant on the first day of the month in which you wish to dine and see if Table 21 is available. If it is, book it! The was a 21 course, three hour meal served to eight people right at the leading edge of the kitchen. Some courses are just... More
