VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.

Amazing Experience and Food

Was lucky enough to go here for a birthday celebration, have wanted to try it out since moving to the area. I love the layout of the dining area and the bar. We were in the special private party room and it was amazing. The doors were sound proof, had control of your own thermostat and felt like... read more

Our visit to the Volt restaurant in Frederick MD did not get off to a good start. My wife and I had a 6 PM reservation. We got there ten minutes early. We were directed by the very young hostesses to wait in the bar until a table was ready. 15 minutes later we were led into a room with,... More

Let me start by complimenting Volt on its food. The chef is bold enough to do things outside the comfort zone, and most of the experiments work. The food is a terrific medley of flavors and a treat the the palate. This is a rare case where the chef's ambitions do not overreach the kitchen's abilities. Alas, Volt does not... More

We drove to Frederick for a tour of the old Historic District, a chance to explore several of the local wineries and dairies but most of all to experience Volt. The restaurant is set in a charming old brownstone and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. My wife and I stopped in the cozy bar for a... More

Our party of four enjoyed the tasting menu. Every course was exquisitely prepared, presented and served. In addition to the 6 menued courses, there were several amuse bouche from a petit appetizer assortment, sorbet course, cookies and chocolates, to a delicious breakfast bread for the next morning. This is an amazing experience and be sure to allow several hours to... More

Exquisite dishes, definitely worth trying once. Try the 6 course meal for special date night. Service top notch.

We go for the food & wine, because it is top shelf. I've always felt that loving what you put in your body leads to a happy wonderful life. Otherwise, why eat and drink? (Or make love for that matter.) Why go to low quality restaurants when you can make great meals at home... . Or if you love food... More

Volt is an amazing spot in Frederick. Bryan Voltaggio (Top Chef) comes up with dishes that will have your palate begging for more! If you can do so, try to get reservations for Table 21- what a treat as you get to sit and watch Bryan work his magic in the kitchen with a front row seat.

This is the flagship restaurant owned and run by the well-known chef Bryan Voltaggio, who has appeared on Top Chef and has received James Beard Foundation nominations. You must make a reservation 30 days in advance if you expect to dine here. And everything about this place resonates in excellence and superior quality. I had the 6 course tasting menu... More

My wife and I took my niece and her husband, visiting from Edindurgh, Scotland for a special dinner at the Volt, as my niece is a former semi finalist of BBC's Master Chef and is food stylist. They (and my wife and I) were greatly impressed by the excellent food and the high quality service. The Volt is clearly a... More
