VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.

I'll start off by saying that the service was excellent. The staff was extremely attentive and since it was our wedding anniversary they went out of their way to make us feel special. I expected the decor and ambiance to be much nicer after passing the building by so many times but it was very minimal and bare. We sat... More

having been here before, and spent $$$$ I had planned wonderful valentines dinner with my wife, making reservations for the Chefs tasting more than a month in advance. Valentines Day, the day of my reservations, i received a call saying there has been a mistake and the reservations I had made (way in advance) at 7:00 are no longer available.... More

Drinks are over rated and too pricey. Bar food is the way to go...same food as served in the dining room but priced reasonably. Table 21 (chef's table) is amazing experience and will set you back at least $220 a person without wine....

The food is very good, but the service is subpar based on the type of restaurant, they make it seem I am lucky to be there instead of them being lucky to have me there. I have been to better French restaurants for both food and service.

First off, the food was excellent but there were so many small things that took away from my expectation of an incredible dining experience. Perhaps they had an off night or I had an off night or that my expectations were too high. My disappointments were things such as a lack of valet parking; the hostess not being able to... More

If your a foodie and want to sample food fit for a king then by all means have dinner at Volt. We tried the six course tasting menu with wine parings and it was the presentations were without comparision with a special take home treat after dinner. Check out the menu @ Volt and you won't be disappointed.

I was excited to visit Volt, because I am a bit of a foodie. My daughter , bless her heart, gave us a Christmas gift card. However, I am not a poser as many in the DC area are. Disappointed, to say the least. Here is the rundown. After trying for over a month to get a reservation at a... More

We made dinner reservations at Volt to celebrate our anniversary. Beautiful little Frederick MD is about an hour and a half away from home, so we also booked a hotel nearby. The day of our dinner turned out to be an unexpectedly severe snowstorm. We made it to the hotel, but could not get to the restaurant for dinner, as... More
