Old Friend Revisited

We held our oldest daughters birthday dinner here last Sunday. The food was great, service unobtrusive but very attentive. A very relaxing atmosphere. We've been coming here since they opened in the early 70's. Still a very fine dining experience. Two quibbles: they've stopped serving crackers... read more

We've been coming here since they opened in the early 70's. Still a very fine dining experience. Two quibbles: they've stopped serving crackers & cheese spread when you arrive, which we always enjoyed, but certainly not worth... More

We were staying at the Red Horse Comfort Inn so read the reviews and sounded like a restaurant we would like. Atmosphere was nice; Service was good; Food....not so much. The prices were really high and the food was very bland. No seasoning on my Filet Mignon which was cooked medium instead of medium rare - did not send back;... More

We have enjoyed the Red Horse on many occasions including our anniversary and birthdays. It's also a great place to visit and meet people at the bar area. We have enjoyed the food and the staff/servers have been fantastic every time (though we miss Charlie, now that he has retired). Donnie almost always get the prime rib (love the end... More

Service: Excellent. Our server was one of the best I've ever had. He was friendly and patient, ready and willing to answer all of our questions. He even started to bring me my salad but noticed I was still eating an appetizer so held it back until a little later. There aren't many places or servers that will do that.... More

The place is dark and old fashioned. The food was good enough, but really not worth the prices. The service was good. None of it enough to make me want to return.

Have eaten here many times. The food is always good there salads are crisp and the dressing are excellent. The meat is cooked where you can watch it being grilled and recently seems better than ever. The have something called a Red Horse Cocktail it is a very sweet drink that will just mellow you out after a hard day.

We had a dinner/business meeting at the Red Horse Steak House. I have been here numerous times before, first time for my wife. We both had their special, filet Chesapeake. Filet topped with crab meat. The crab meat was great, and the filet steak just melted in your mouth, my wife swore she could have cut her steak with her... More

We were headed to Longhorn, but decided to give this local place a try. Great filet. Cooked just right. Wonderful house blue cheese topping. Overcharged me for my salad. First beer glass was dirty. Great food. Experience could have been better, but only minor issues. A better than average steak. Service was good, not special. $45 for steak and a... More

We ate here 2 nights in a row - both nights we had a great experience. The food was excellent and the service was superb. They had an appetizer which was delicious - Mardi Gras oysters! We had a large group on Saturday night and they gave us a private room with 2 very attentive and wonderful servers! The steak... More
