2nd floor dining a must, Great food & service (3.8 out of 5)

I had been told in the past Firestone's was a great place to eat by multiple people. Recently, I finally made it in for the first time and enjoyed a great meal for lunch. Perched at one of the second floor tables alongside the window looking down on Market Street, I chose the Deviled Eggs... read more

We walked in not knowing what to expect, the decor was obviously though through. Some tables have upstairs window views of this bustling town. We were three cousin's coming to town to find our ancestors cemetery. We were from 33'different states had a lot to talk about and were hungry. The menu was fun. From raw oysters, deviled eggs to... We decided for our date to try the Tavern for dinner as it had good ratings on Trip Advisor and Yelp. The feedback was on par with our experience. This two story Tavern boasts a beautiful old carved and mirrored bar downstairs and a balcony above for dining. We enjoyed a Market Street side table looking down to the street... More

There is simply one word for Firestones: "WONDERFUL!" Our waitress, Leslie, was professional, courteous, and made us feel completely taken care of. We were seated promptly, treated to a sample of the chef's featured Reuben, and had our water glasses filled regularly. In all, the wait staff were perfect. Now for the food...the youngest in our party had the clam... More

This review is for our dinner experience--lunch or other times of day might be a completely different story. We dined at Firestone's on a Friday night and it was good overall. We sat at the upper level of the restaurant, which is nicely arranged, facing the windows on Market Street. The menu was nice with a small section of very... More

Restaurants come and go, like in many cities, but Firestone's has been around for 20 years (and maybe more) on the Frederick scene. Located in a prime location on Market St. in the heart of the historic area and all the cool retail shops, Firestone's has excellent food, a great bar area and is located in a really cool old... The Hanger Steak is Incredible along with the Desert Sampler (not on the menu) My wife and I had a wonderful romantic evening at Firestones. Could not have had better service from the waitstaff and the Chef is awesome!

It's too bad when a beautiful restaurant that serves quality food, can't hire professional wait staff. Never have we encountered a waiter like Chris. He lacked knowledge of the wine list and was full of fresh remarks, wise-guy comments and disrespect. When we questioned something legitimate on the bill he replied, "ah, you caught me in my dishonesty." Luckily the... More
