Great Seafood

We arrived at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon, and got the last available parking spot. The place was packed, but we were immediately seated, and a waitress was with us in minutes. From there, it got a little worse before it got better. Most people were there for the all-you-can-eat crab. After... read more

I have never been to May's and been disappointed. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service is great. The crabs are to die for! Great place to pick crabs and shoot the breeze. Word is out so, you may have to wait to get a table. It's so worth the wait. Mmmm, mmmm GOOD!

I was born and raised in Maryland. All Marylanders learn the joys of going to bed with fingers that smell of crab at an early age. After 30 years in the military and only rarely being near the Chesapeake Bay I take every effort to have crabs when I am in Maryland visiting family. May's does crabs right. It's all... More

The cream of crab soup is filled with lots of crab meat and the soup is perfect. I had the seafood sampler with fried shrimp, crispy and a bit small, the boiled shrimp with legs but they were clean( asked for Old Bay and butter for them), hush puppies, small and delicious but the crab balls were the best. Soft... More

My husband & I wound up here after a very disappointing experience at another restaurant where we had reservations & didn't eat. We did the AUCE crabs with crab legs & was very impressed with the quality of all the food. The service was fantastic & well worth our hour drive to get there! Environment is awesome! We will most... Went here around 6:00pm on Monday night with a party of three. The restaurant was not very busy. Maybe 10 tables inside and 15 outside. We were seated outside. There were 6 or 7 servers taking care of the tables outside. By 6:30 all of the servers that were waiting on tables in the outside area had passed us multiple... More

As a born Marylander who now lives in the South, I miss the Cheasapeake Bay Crab. However, I make it a point to get crab cakes or steamed crabs if I ever get back "north"! This place didn't disappoint. I had the all-you-can eat crabs, and didn't get one bad one. My parents got crab cakes and stuffed shrimp and... More

This is a local seafood place. I had the fresh catch which was flounder fried done very well, baked potato was perfect and plenty of butter. Wife had the soft shell which was a little over done but very tasty. Mac and cheese was really good, beer was cold. Place really fills up fast after 5 and parking becomes a... More

Wow, very impressed with this place. My Server was Great, but the Crabs and Shrimp were Awesome. So much to look at in this restaurant from the old oyster cans to the old pictures on the wall. Definitely a place to visit when in Frederick. But most of all Delicious!
