First impressions

Ignore the first impression, the food is good! We arrived at 7.00pm as the kitchen was closed we were asked to return at 8.30. We had a choice of eating upstairs in the restaurant, which was empty or in the bar, which was used by locals watching football, we chose the latter. We were given an... read more

Wow this restaurant deserves it number one rating. Thanks all of the reviewers who highly recommended this restaurant we loved it. We ordered a salad for our first course to share be careful it was huge. My wife ordered the shell fish paeola, it was just like the pictures. Ordered too too much,it was an outstanding meal. A few years has gone by since my first visit here which actually resulted in me entering this into tripadvisor and what a difference 500 review makes! The place was really full this time. You definitely have to reserve. They made an exception for as we were only two people and we promised to eat fast. But it was impossible... More

This great local restaurant has fresh and excellent fish. The fried octopus is a great alternative to the typical cooked version. Waiters are friendly and professional. No problem when you show up with kids.

We arrived at this restaurant around 7:45pm and decided to wait until 8:30 when the kitchen opened. We are glad we did as when our Seafood Paella arrived it was the best we've ever tasted (and we've had quite a few)! It contained a full lobster, a couple of crabs, langoustines and prawns. There is nothing else to say other... More

After a couple of restaurants checks before deciding on dinner, we finalised with La Solana and it was the best decision made during our trip to Ribadeo. We were given a table on the 2nd floor next to the windows with magnificent views of the sea. The waitress service was excellent! She explained our queries on the menu in details... More

Based on the reviews in tripadvisor we tried this restaurant out. We were amazed at the quality of the food and the service. On the ground floor there is a large bar area. The restaurant is on the first floor. We managed to get a table near the window overlooking the harbour. They had a menu in English but there... More

The atmosphere is pub-like and my meal was exceptional. I had Merluz a la Plancha which was simply and perfectly prepared. When alone I prefer dining at the bar and La Solana was happy to oblige. I only ordered a main course but they gave me a complimentary starter of a seafood pate and "horseradishy" dip. Very professional and proud... More

Thank you very much for your opinion and your view restaurant. It is true that at first sight, maybe the restaurant does not look so you can check later as given in the food. Our food is made with love and effort that our customers deserve. And the result is a fantastic criticism, thank you. I'm glad you did stop along... More
