Wow what a great restaurant. It's fantastic!

Based on the reviews in tripadvisor we tried this restaurant out. We were amazed at the quality of the food and the service. On the ground floor there is a large bar area. The atmosphere is pub-like and my meal was exceptional. I had Merluz a la Plancha which was simply and perfectly prepared. When alone I prefer dining at the bar and La Solana was happy to oblige. I only ordered a main course but they gave me a complimentary starter of a seafood pate and "horseradishy" dip. Very professional and proud... More

We were on our road trip leg from A Coruna to Gijon when decided to stop to eat , we noticed this town not far ahead on the sat nav , checked out trip advisor and saw the great reviews about this place . WOW , it is brilliant . In the olden days before trip advisor you would not... More

Thank you very much for your opinion and your view restaurant. It is true that at first sight, maybe the restaurant does not look so you can check later as given in the food. Our food is made with love and effort that our customers deserve. And the result is a fantastic criticism, thank you. I'm glad you did stop along... More

We followed the advice of our hotel and walked there all the way down to the harbour. What a view, sitting on the 1st floor window (maybe we were lucky because we booked a table beforehand)... Friendly service, had rodaballo and jargo: thy even let my husband choose which part he wanted. The waitress/co-ownercwas very friendly and offered all sorts... More

What a surprise. Driving to Oviedo from Santiago, our gps went on the blink and we were trying to figure out which route to take. On the map, we saw that Ribadeo was close by and we were getting hungry, so took a chance and drove in. Great little town with lots of shops and cafés, but we wanted to... More

Nice place by the Ribadeo Harbor. Awesome food. Had Croquetas de Marisco and Pulpl a la Gallega washed down with a lovely Albarinho. Totally recommended.

After a very disappointing dinner the previous evening in Santillana del Mar, we ate at this restaurant selected once again from recommended reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed on this occasion and everything met with warm approval. The place does not look anything special from the outside but once inside you find a very pleasant bar on the ground... More

We passed by to see Playa de las Catedrales , and since it was lunchtime, we found this little gem by tripadvisor. It was a bit hard to find, but it was very worth it! Delicious food! Don't miss the vieiras, nor the croquetas de marisco. Service was excellent!

We had the fish stew (zarzuela) despite the waitress suggesting it would be too much and suggesting we had the cheaper plate of fish. We are glad we held out although it was hard work to eat all the lobster, crab, langoustine, conger eel, dourade and another fish we did not recognise we almost finished it all! I would recommend... We had lunch there because we'd been told of some sort of food vouchers in the main restaurants of the village and La Solana's offered menú was the most appealing to us. There were two starters -among them the spectacular grilled octopus- and two main courses -fantastic rice with clawed lobster and magnificent ox t-bone steak- plus dessert (nougat mousse),... More
