Exemplary, Spanish hospitality offering top quality meals

Having read a couple of doubtful reviews we hesitated but on the evidence of the footfall across the threshold we went. How delighted we were! Everyone and everything they offered combined to create an evening which will be hard to beat. We live in Spain and are no strangers to its restaurants... read more

Stunningly presented restaurant consisting of three separate , areas: the bar, a sort of mega cosy sitting room, and the "comedor" or dining area at the back. The food is a non-pretentious and intriguing blend of Galician traditional food and contemporary fusion touch. We only walked in for a glass of the local white wine Ribeiro and ended up sampling... Owned by the same family as the Hotel Pazo de Urban. We stopped for tapas, and it was so good, we asked for a table. The meal was perfectly prepared and presented and the service was outstanding--it was probably our favorite dinner throughout our week of touring Spain.

Three of us (my wife, son and myself) had an excellent meal at Campos last week but one. The upstairs dining room is very smart, all the waiting staff appreciated our (hopeless) efforts at Spanish, (but clarified everything in English), the food and service was excellent...they even provide an English menu, but point out Spanish specials which don't easily translate.... Campos is certainly a top restaurant. It has a lovely atmosphere in the upstairs restaurant, and the staff are all very attendant. The menu is quite creative, and all the food we had was very well presented and tasted great too. The wine list was quite extensive and good value, with an excellent recommendation given to us, which perfectly matched... More

Well, for the number one restaurant in Lugo, I was expecting better. Granted, the dining room is nicely decorated and the building quaint. We shared octopus pieces in a red sauce and seafood croquettes for starters both local specialties. The octopus was a bit bland. I then had pork leg (lacon) from the day menu which was very salty with... More

Excellent service and food in the centre of Lugo. One of Lugo's most characterful and best restaurants.

Campos is located in the Prazo do Campo, across from the information office. The restaurant is celebrating their 60th anniversary. We were a group of 11 for a lunch of tapas. Everything we ordered was excellent, tasty and of high quality. Recommend their cheese bricks on tomatoes, fish tacos, garlic shrimp, octopus, and for dessert, their Alaskan soufflé (the 15... More

We had 4 excelletn appetizers including the famous ham and octopus. The lobster rice main course was very tasty. The kids loved the desserts. The complimentary soup, chocolate and 3 different grappa were extraordinary. There was not too much English spoken by the wait staff, but the menu was in English.
