Without doubt now the best beach restaurant in Aiguablava

Despite having lived in the area for most of the summers for the past 7 years we have only just discovered just how goo this restaurant is. We arrived for lunch when the place was packed. We waited for a table for about 5 minutes and got the perfect corner table with no other tables in our way of the perfect view! The tomato bread was delicious as was the wine, the mussels, the anchovies. Perfect place for lunch right on the beach and the magnificent view... More

Seven of us turned up without a reservation and were so lucky to be accommodated as the place was full and folk were queuing for the chance to eat here. We had sardines, anchovies, baby squid and mussels for our entrees and each dish was delightful. We followed with paella and seafood with noodles, both of which were very tasty.... More

Charming restaurant located in scenic cove and beach. Fresh seafood and great service with reasonable prices. Best choice in area. Much better than Parador Aiguablava Hotel restaurant which is next door.

The best fish I have had this summer... and I've tried quite a few. Having a summer house in the area I have been dinning out few times during my August vacation. Despite many claim that their fish is "as fresh as it can get" the expectations were never quite meet. Toc al Mar has been the exception, go for... More

We stayed at the Aiguablava Parador for several days, and ate dinner there only once on the first night (it was not good). We found this little place down on the beach the next day, ate lunch there, returned for dinner the same day, and then dinner the next day as well. Lunch was a lovely spinach salad and a... More

Beautiful setting, nice ambience, good service. We knew it would be expensive, but happy to go for a special evening, and chose a large red rockfish for two. At 58 euros for 1kg we expected to at least have some garnish...but half a baked potato each was all they could provide. No salad, no vegetables. Very disappointing. Our most expensive... More

Touring around region, came to eat because of great location and Telegraph review. Honestly I have nothing bad to say because it was all fresh and nicely presented. However the starters were the best part, taste and appearance. We had tuna tartare and the spinach salad. Prawns and sea bream for main, cooked really well but that was when the... More

An Al fresco beach restaurant, casual and friendly, with outstanding fresh fish. The whole catch is presented to you, and you pick what you would like to eat. Washed down with a cold bottle or rose in one of the prettiest bays on the Costa brava - what could be more perfect!

We are lucky to know a crazy Spanish couple who took care of booking this place for me and a group of friends for my 40th. It would be hard to beat the setting in this cute cove but the food manages it. Everything is cooked on coals and the seafood is as fresh as any I have ever eaten.... More
