Good, comforting

We had lunch last week at the Colonial Inn. They were quite busy, but with ample seating inside and out, the seating and service went smoothly. We had the bacon wrapped brussell sprouts (very good) and chicken pot pie (also very good - and hearty!). The servings were ample so sharing worked very... read more

The weather was lovely for the evening, and so we sat outside along the railing. Blooming trees, flowers, great views of old Concord. That was just the ambiance. The food was wonderful, and the waitress was very attentive and helpful. Their rolls are the BEST we have ever had, but I couldn't coax a recipe out of them. Our waitress... More

Great food. Homemade corn bread. Dinner was a steak covered with cheese. The Cheesecake was awesome.

We ate all three meals at the Colonial Inn restaurants. The food was very good and the staff were excellent.

This was not the best meal we ever had, but the food was very tasty, the hospitality and service polite and efficient, and the ambiance fabulous. We would highly recommend eating on the front porch in good weather. There you can enjoy the bustle of this quaint, historic town.

The weather was nice so we chose to eat outside. It was very pleasant and when it started to get dark, the waiter brought out a candle for the table and lit it for us. The food was absolutely scrumptious! It was a bit pricey but well worth it. I don't drink drink alcohol, but my 3 friends do -... More

We had the pleasure of dinner on the porch on a delightful May evening. The varied menu is appealing. Our choices were the seafood pappardelle (a plentiful medley, served in an artistic, slanted bowl) and the St. Louis-style ribs (good), with strawberry shortcake for dessert. The setting was wonderful; the service was ok. The dessert was served without any silverware... More

We ate one dinner, one lunch and about three breakfasts at the Inn. The food was pretty good, but didn't like the flavored oatmeal served at breakfast. The coffee was $3 which I thought was high. The lobster roll was tasty. The Continental breakfast was missing fresh fruit other than whole fruits. It was yogurt and sweets and oranges, apples... More
