Hoped to have a special holiday lunch with a friend as we have had in the past. Instead the service and food were disappointing. My reservation for one of the small dining rooms was not honored but instead we were seated in the tavern; although we were seated by a window, the tables are uncomfortably close together. Our waiter was... More

The day before Christmas, my history buff sister in law from Colorado suggested having lunch at The Colonial Inn in Concord, Mass. We had visited some years in the past with great memories, and as a local official, my government group had reserved a room there until about eight years ago for Christmas dinner. So we expected something special. It... More

Actually this was a late breakfast (which ends at 11am) . This 300 year old in offers excellent dining experiences, at a price. Our breakfast however was excellent ,and priced very reasonable although the crabcake eggs benedict was pricy at $17, but well worht it according to those that ordered it. My breakfast with cofee was under $10, and very... More

Concord has so many restaurants that are of much higher quality. If you want to go to experience the colonial part of the inn and feel like you are in colonial times you may get some of that. The food is pretty poor all around and pricey and service is very spotty. The pub is quaint and very fun on... More

I went there with my daughter and niece on Nov. 29, 2014. We ordered the fish and chips and the crap cakes for lunch. The fish and chips at $19 were greasy and poor quality fish. The french fries were formerly frozen The crab cakes at a $12 appetizer were more cake than crap., I don't even think I could... More

We were there on a Saturday night, and it was very crowded with large groups. It was animated, and probably fun if you were part of one of those groups....My meal was uneven - delicious spinach, potatoes, and sauce, unfortunately, the cod was not good...really should have sent it back! My husband's meal was average. The best is in the... More

Way overpriced, not customer friendly. A lovely building but the staff was not interested in customer service. No wonder Helens Restaurant was jammed!

Terrible service, bad food....the list goes on and on. Unfortunately, a lot of our tourists wander in there, coaxed in by the cozy veranda and the welcoming tables in the shade. Don't be enticed! Won't be going there again.

They serve a good basic brunch and other meals, friendly staff. In the heart of downtown Concord, on the main shopping thoroughfare. You can have a nice meal and then walk around and window-shop in downtown Concord.
