Boston without the drive

We had been hearing a lot about this restaurant and finally went this week. The food and service were both excellent and the experience was as nice as many of the restaurants we have been to in Boston. Unlike Boston, there was no issue with traffic and parking :). We will definitely be back.

We have eaten several times here but the last time was definitely the best. Celebrating my husband's promotion I pre-ordered champagne. As we were seated there was Vince with the champagne bottle so that we could surprise my husband! Perfect timing and a wonderful start to the meal. Service is always excellent, and the food is outstanding. Every dish is... More

I have eaten here on several occasions and this is the first time that I can honestly say they have missed a step. Two of the appetizers were simply undersized - the char pate and the fois gras, in particular, the small portion of fois gras was served with buckwheat Madelines which were leaden. The waitress, obviously schooled asked each... More

Concord doesn't have too many good restaurants, this is one of the best. Very attractive with excellent food and great service.

...great wine list! The service was excellent - not pushy, very knowledgable and perfect timing. The food was perfectly cooked...the mushroom soup starter was divine and can;t wait to come back to this restaurant.

In a town with not many fine dining options, 80 Thoreau provides a top-notch and delicious dining experience. Ian and his staff, most particularly the wonderful chef, make this a must-do restaurant in the western suburbs of Boston. I am particularly fond of the kitchen bar seats that allow you to follow the preparation and see how such great food... More

Ate here after it opened and was disappointed. Finally returned and had a fabulous evening. We met friends there and chatted for ages and at no time did the staff try to hurry us along. We sat in a booth near the kitchen which was a great spot. Servers were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Had the grilled cauliflower and asiago... More

Cozy restaurant, creative menu with some local foods. Could not get a large-party reservation on the weekend, so went Monday evening. It was busy, but not full, and we were able to relax and enjoy the cocktails, appetizers (mushroom soup, gnocchi with shredded pork and local carols, roasted cauliflower) and main dishes in a leisurely manner. We had the char,... More

80 Thoreau is a wonderful, stylish and sexy-chic dining experience in beautiful, historic, idyllic downtown Concord. Though pricey, the food, ambience and experience is worth every penny. Great drinks, organic fresh food, traditional cuisine with loads of flair! Love it!

This was one of the best eating out experiences in a long time. Not always the case during DineOut Boston. The food was exquisite and creative. The flavors in each of the courses complimented one another. The service was excellent from the moment we walked into the restaurant. Well worth the trip to Concord.
