80 Thoreau is not cheap, but it isn't stratospheric either. And it can be hard to get a reservation, so plan ahead. This is one of two excellent restaurants in town. It is both elegant and friendly and overlooks the commuter rail line. The food is uniformly spectacular. I am not a fan of gnocci, but every time I see... More

Ok I have read the reviews and drive by regularrily and see the steady flow of patrons but never ventured in! So glad I finally made a reservation! As luck would have it our Anniversary was during Restaurant week so we enjoyed 3 courses rather than perhaps 2. Each was superb! Highly recommend chicken dish. Salmon was also good. Service... More

Tucked away in Concord is this great, beautiful restaurant. A bit tough to notice from the street but got there once and you will not forget. Delicious quality food and atmosphere which you just cannot find outside of boston, but the casual air of it makes it comfortable and relaxed too (not too casual!)

It takes a lot to get me to leave the house on a Friday night, but the effects of my long, long work week evaporated within minutes of climbing the stairs to the dining room at 80 Thoreau. We love to eat at one of the high-top tables near the bar -- a little more casual and great for watching... More

When I first moved to Concord there were 2 Brigham's and 1 Friendly's. It's a whole new world. I like to sit in one of the 2 booths across from the kitchen as it's quiet there. 80 Thoreau could make it in any city! It's open relatively late for the suburbs. The food is excellent.

I've been here several times for special occasions and restaurant week. Each time the food was absolutely delicious. The menu changes according to season and what is available locally, which makes for new and interesting items to choose from. We savor each bite from appetizer to dessert with a nice glass of wine and then the best coffee. The service... More

What a treat to find such delicious dining in the western suburbs. There are wonderful drinks mixed by the talented and creative bartender. It is nice to eat in the bar area or in the main restaurant. The burgers are delicious and entire menu always has delicious innovative dishes and desserts!

It is a new restaurant for Concord and has become a major win. Thank you for coming to our town. The food and presentation are awesome, but the staff exceed all expectations -- friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Having 1/2 and Full portion is great. The bar is awesome. I only wish I could go there more often. It isn't cheap... More

80 Thoreau is a wonderful addition to the western suburbs! The food is wonderful, the service very good, and the atmosphere lots of fun. It's the perfect spot for a casual weekday night out or a special occasion. We've been many times and have never had a bad meal or bad service. It's completely reliable and always a treat!

Went to Hunger Brunch (80T does not normally open on Sundays or serve brunch, so this was an annual event). Really superb in-house baked goods to start (sticky buns, cheddar-chive biscuits, lemon-poppy muffins, scones), excellent entrees (huevos rancheros, brioche French toast, or chicken-spinach crepes), Plus coffee, juice, bacon and sausage, cream of wheat, fruit, and a cocktail. An enormous amount... More
