Clean, bright spot for breakfast

We came for breakfast on the Monday after Easter, and it was quiet, so we enjoyed chatting with the waitress while waiting for our meals. Basic breakfast fare--nothing unique on the menu--but it did the job. Kids (and moms) were happy.

We ate breakfast at Helen's and loved the fact that it is still family-owned. The breakfast was really good, but not inexpensive. It has a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere.

After being seated for brunch at a yet to be cleared table, we waited for about 15 minutes for the waitress to show up. She was gruff and not in a charming way. The service was generally slow. It was disconcerting to see a family at another table who arrived 10 minutes after us get orders taken and served before... More

We stopped here at lunchtime on the Saturday before Easter and it was packed!! Great service even though they were so busy. The clam chowder was delicious. Also had the special beet salad. Very good. My husband had the fried egg sandwich and kids both had the kids burrito--which was huge. Definitely recommend.

Helen's is a must when browsing around downtown Concord. We've been there for lunch several times when visiting. Gets crowded during lunch, but worth it.

Three generations for Sunday brunch. Waitress was so pleasant, patient and accommodating. Despite heavy demand, graciously agreed to seat our incomplete party, brought coffee and bagels while we waited for others to arrive.Crayons, grilled cheese, fresh fruit-- our toddler totally happy! Corned beef combo sandwiches, large Cobb salad, Thai wrap, chocolate frappes and ice cream sundae. All good. Cash only.

Great place to stop for breakfast and lunch in Concord. The menu is great and the food delicious. The waitstaff is always friendly. The only drawback is that it's cash only. However, it's one of the best kid-friendly restaurants in Concord.

Concord, MA receives over 1 million visitors each year. If you are one of them and you have just done a lot of walking to the North Bridge or out to Walden Pond, you could do worse then stopping at Helen's for lunch. It used to be called Brigham's...and they still carry Brigham's ice cream, although it is now named... More

This place has been in Concord forever. It is a great place for a good sandwich or salad and the waitresses are great. It's especially great for kids. It does get crowded at lunchtime so beware of a small wait but it does move quickly.

Located in the heart of Concord village, Helen's can be hectic on a busy Sunday for lunch so be prepared to wait. That aside, the food was very good and the service pleasant. Great value, by the way. Oh, and the frappes looked like they came right out of a 1950s soda fountain. One final note: they take cash only.... More
