Three generations for Sunday brunch. Waitress was so pleasant, patient and accommodating. Despite heavy demand, graciously agreed to seat our incomplete party, brought coffee and bagels while we waited for others to arrive.Crayons, grilled cheese, fresh fruit-- our toddler totally happy! Corned beef combo sandwiches, large Cobb salad, Thai wrap, chocolate frappes and ice cream sundae. All good. Cash only.

Great place to stop for breakfast and lunch in Concord. The menu is great and the food delicious. The waitstaff is always friendly. The only drawback is that it's cash only. However, it's one of the best kid-friendly restaurants in Concord.

Concord, MA receives over 1 million visitors each year. If you are one of them and you have just done a lot of walking to the North Bridge or out to Walden Pond, you could do worse then stopping at Helen's for lunch. It used to be called Brigham's...and they still carry Brigham's ice cream, although it is now named... More

This place has been in Concord forever. It is a great place for a good sandwich or salad and the waitresses are great. It's especially great for kids. It does get crowded at lunchtime so beware of a small wait but it does move quickly.

Located in the heart of Concord village, Helen's can be hectic on a busy Sunday for lunch so be prepared to wait. That aside, the food was very good and the service pleasant. Great value, by the way. Oh, and the frappes looked like they came right out of a 1950s soda fountain. One final note: they take cash only.... More

We visited in mid afternoon, so the restaurant wasn't at all busy. The meat loaf and a huge pile of mashed potatoes were swimming in thick, rich gravy, sitting beside a large portion of string beans. Every bite was delicious! Just like Grandma used to make. Hubby enjoyed his sandwich, but when he tasted my food he said, "I should... More

A great gem of a family restaurant but cash only! Good staff, fast service. It's like a diner, noisy but good food. Noontime is crowded. If the weather is nice, get a to go and eat in the park picnic style (bring a blanket).

Helen's is located in Historic Concord Center and has a bit of a diner feel to it. It is casual with good food and generous portions. We live in Concord and particularly enjoy breakfast there, but the other meals are good as well. Bring cash or a check - because they do not accept credit cards.

We love Helen's. The staff are friendly and the food is always good. The kids love the smoothies. Not just your average sandwich place, although it looks like it from the storefront. They do get very busy and they don't take reservations, so you need to go early and wait if there's a line.

My friend and I arrived for a late lunch, knowing how busy it can be. We sat down immediately and our orders were promptly taken. My turkey sandwich and tomato/vegetable soup hit the spot and my friend ordered a delicious salad. Nothing pretentious about Helen's, just good food at reasonable prices with great service.
