Quality breakfast with a view

Ate breakfast here twice and was satisfied with the options and quality for a reasonable price. Dinners were pretty pricey and fancier so we didn't take advantage.

Far View Terrace Restaurant is actually (in my opinion) three entities in one large building. There is the cafeteria area with the food/beverage line and tables to sit and eat. A fair number of the tables are by the windows and give you a good view. When I think of a cafeteria I think of a large selection of food... More

First off, it is not a restaurant, but more of a cafeteria. You go to the counter, you order and pay for your food, and they call your number when it is ready. There is no table service - if you are expecting a tablecloth and a waiter, you're in the wrong place. But the food was good - plenty... More

The wait staff was pleasant but casual. Maybe 3.5 stars, but the overall dinner and the view are worth 4 stars.

Offering a good variety of good food at a reasonable price. Fast service in a casual setting. We chose to eat here rather than a the fancier breakfast buffet.

High prices, limited selection and some poor quality. Soup was in-editable. We didn't eat in the lodge restaurant because it was even more expensive.

Place was nice stop on the way to the top. Mostly a tourist trap but still well set up and had friendly staff. A must if you have to use the bathroom on a long drive up its 45 minutes from the entrance so prepare. If you need to replenish after the tiring walk at the Mesa it's great place... More

Went to the Terrace for drinks. Beautiful views of wide open spaces. Menu here is somewhat limited so waiter arranged for us to move downstairs to the Metate Room for dinner. I wasn't expecting much from a National Park but the food was excellent; it was actually one of the best meals we had including several up scale locations in... More

This is cafeteria style, so we didn't expect much, but the food id decent. It's basically good to get in and out quick so you can eat and get to the sties. I had eggs (good) potatoes (greasy) and toast (o.k.) both morning I was there. My husband had an omelet and he liked that. Coffee was good and hot.... More
