We were very happy about our food in the Metate Room! Our Far View hotel room was horrible (except the view!!!) but the dinner was delicious! Both the view & the ambience were great. We had two starters, two main courses & two desserts including beer & soft drinks for $91 - a fair price for a perfect evening!

We ate here out of necessity, but really enjoyed it. My son and I actually wanted to go back the second night, but my husband was set on visiting a popular bar-b-que place in town (a 30 minutes drive). The service was very attentive and they offered us to wait just a few minutes for a table with a great... More

The view from this restaurant was spectacular and the food was also very good. We all enjoyed our meals but I particularly did because I could order gluten and soy free. The staff and chef will work with you if you have any dietary restrictions. I would like to eat here again!

One doesn't expect a great restaurant in a National Park (At least I don't), but this was exceptional. The views are outstanding, but the food and service is the real star. We had a great waiter who took time to share stories, recommendations and directions. Food was Excellent! We'll go back and recommend to others!!

After a day of exploring Mesa Verde National Park, we stopped here for dinner. Given that there's absolutely nothing around dinner-wise, we had very low expectations, but we were totally wrong. First, there's the view of the whole valley in a floor to ceiling window. Then there's the creative menu which as I understand won best restaurant in all of... More

I am allergic to tomatoes and told my server- still my salad came with tomatoes. We also ordered a appetizer Gluten Free and there was bread under hidden under the tortilla chips. A very weak apology but nothing else. Do not trust the gluten free menu! Very disappointed.

Located in the middle of Mesa Verde national park with virtually no other restaurant for miles, you will find the Metate Room. Given the remoteness and lack of competition one might expect at best an okay meal. That was what I expected and was I dead wrong. The Metate Room not only has great ambiance and great views, it serves... More

After a rather long wait main course was served. Terrible is a very kind statement. To make matters worse the server had recommended it as one of their"best". In that case i would hate to sample the other menu selections.?

good restaurant in mesa verdes. great view overlooking a road and the park. the only onsite restaurant connected to the hotel. the pork is their signature dish, told to us by their executive chef. the service was very slow. we were not warned. after waiting for 45 minutes, i asked the waiter what happened to our food (was a weekday),... After a long afternoon exploring Mesa Verde we were looking for a nice dinner and decided to give this a try given the good reviews. Service was good and the view was very nice, but that seemed to be what you were paying for...given its price, we were not blown away with the food (good, not great). Probably worth trying... More
