The Metate Room was an overwhelming surprise! We ate two amazing dinners here, and wished that we lived nearby to frequent it more often. The food was gourmet and delicious.

This restaurant is part of the Far View Lodge complex. The nights we were there they offered 3 vegetarian and a vegan main courses in addition to several meat and fish options. They also provided several local beef/fish options as well.

Very good tasting food. Upscale restaurant with upscale prices. Dress can be casual, as we had seen many people in different types of dress, mostly casual. Good view over the valley.

After climbing, hiking and driving for a day in the park we were ready for a good meal. The reviews said do the dining hall. We were one of the 1st in at 5:00 opening and were given a nice table by the window overlooking a Southerly view from the park. We chose water since you cannot get enough back... More

Seated straight away, everywhere was clean, waiter was exceptionally good and the food tasted so amazing! I had the beef medallions with mash and vegetables, one of the best meals I had on my holiday! I also had a cocktail and brownies with coffee I've cream, my eyes were too big for my belly so he asked if I would... More

I was a bit skeptical about the restaurant when I found out it was run by Aramark. I am familiar with them for their janitorial and school cafeteria services and was hoping for something "nicer". But the desk staff at the hotel informed me that they use locally sourced products whenever possible and offered to show me the menu and... More

This was the best National Park dinner we've had in the 7 western states. We had a great day at Mesa Verde, hungry but wary of National Park food, we took a chance and it paid off. All entrees served were excellent. Service was attentive. The view exceptional.

The food and service here was just wonderful! The view out the large windows was an added treat. This is the perfect place to dine after a long day exploring the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park. Impressive menu options, attractively presented and generous portions, good beer and wine selections, and not too expensive. Considering you are way out... More

We stayed one night at the Far View Lodge and ate the Metate Room as the only other choice is a cafeteria style restaurant. The restaurant was busy and we waited 30 minutes for a table. Once seated I could understand why there is a long wait for a table. The service is very slow. It took a while for... More

Loved the selections but everything, including appetizers was pretty spicy. Also prices were quite expensive, but it is the only nice restaurant there and the atmosphere is wonderful.
