This restaurant was recommended to us and did not disappoint. We had the seafood mixed platter (3 of us shared a platter for 2). it consisted of lobster, 2 crabs, langustinos, dublin bay prawns, mussels and clams. They were very fresh and alot of it. If i had any complaint it was that they'd run... read more

We were two and ordered sea bream , which was awful as in not fresh at all. The prices are far too high and the food lacks quality

Not one had a good meal the cod was more than overdone. Really in a fishing harbor you don't expect fish that comes from the freezer... All a Cudillero is 'Has Been', just stay away...

My partner and I stayed at the Camping site in Cudillero where the owners suggested we eat at this restaurant... It was excellent the food was so fresh we had the queso de cabra (goat cheese) with avellenas (hazelnuts) and langostinos (large prawns) in a balsamic and oil dressing which we shared it was divine... We then shared the Sargo... More

Set one street back from the restaurants surrounding the port, El Faro is worth seeking out! On the day we were there the restaurant seemed to be full of locals....always a good sign. The food was delicious, ensalada bacaloa, scallops, merluza all perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and accompanied by a local vino blanco.....perfecto!

Very friendly staff. Free hot and cold snacks put on the bar for patrons. Frequented by the locals as well as visitors. Good beer and Rioja ( we liked the local red wine) We ate on a couple of occasions and both visits were worthwhile - particularly impressed as we seemed to be the only English people there but were... This is the second time we come to Cudillero and to the Casona de la Paca, however, it was the first time we had gone to El Faro, which was recommended by our hotel. Wonderful advice! The food was good, we had the croquetas de jamon to start, they were soft and tasty, and then the arroz con bogavante, which... More

We stayed in Oviedo for a week, taking buses each day to surrounding towns. The second bus driver recommended we try El Faro, arriving a little after 1 on a Thursday, a bit early for lunch in Spain but it was a good thing we did because the restaurant filled up very quickly. We had one of the few outdoor... More

We wanted to try the traditional Asturian fabada - which is a stew with fava beans - here they did the meat (pork belly, chorizo and morcilla) and the one with clams. Both were excellent and huge portions. The starters were huge too - we reckoned we could have shared one starter and one main and had plenty to eat... More

El Faro was recommended by our hotel. We had a steak and a Risotto, the steak was massive, cooked just right and tender. The Risotto had a nice variety of mushrooms and plenty of flavour. The atmosphere and staff were laid back and welcoming, the restaurant itself was quite elegant. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and would... More
