Fantastic Food at Sidreria Prices

We have eaten here now 3 times in 6 months, I very nearly didn't go back after the 2nd visit, when Tuna Escabche came as tinned tuna( my husband asked me not to complain!) I had the day before made my own, what came to the table was definitely tinned tuna!!!. However the Pulpo is wonderful, the... read more

Having spent 10 days in the area this was the best place we ate. The food was typical for the area, calamari, Fabada (the best we had) ect. and lots of other regional dishes. We sat in the courtyard on a warm autumn evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The owner (I think) was charming and the service was spot on,... More

My family and I visited this restaurant and were disappointed, because we had read such positive reviews and comments from friends... The thing is, we ate hake and entrecotte, both of average quality, and our children had veal, which was actually bad. Service was friendly but were overloaded and slow. Not a good dinner.

I had lunch there many years ago and it was good so I went there again this summer while travelling near. There's always a lot of people and they only book a table for you if you arrive 13-13.30h otherwise you have to wait but it's worth it and the place is very big so you won't have to wait... More

Despite featuring in Rick Stein's Spain, where he watched and commented on the preparation of a rather more dainty version of hake in cider than is normally served, Casa Poli hasn't drastically hoicked up its prices or changed its tune. It continues to serve solidly Asturian dishes to a mix of locals and visitors and the maze of rooms fills... More

My family and I have been three times over the last year in this restaurant. It is a very nice restaurant with a difficult access if you do not. During the weekend and bank holidays Reservations are necessary because usually full. We usually always ask Cabrales cheese croquettes which are delicious. The main course usually order a grilled meat and... More

A fascinating collection of buildings maybe 500 years old forms this restaurant, well off the main Santander to Oviedo road. The restaurant majors on meat, apparently from its own herd, and certainly the quality of meat was good. Nothing very exciting happened to it in the kitchen, however. Chips (with everything) were on the cool side and tasted like frozen... More

We stopped here by accident 5 yrs ago....we decided to stay opposite this year and eat at casa poli...great food, reasonably priced and I can suggest the picadillo with chips and egg - one of the cheapest things on the menu, truly regional and is simply minced chorizo! House red will not disappoint either! Amazingly I was informed the other... More

This restaurant is down a narrow village road but is definitely worth the trip. It's local popularity can be gauged by the large amount of parking they have available. A very pleasant atmosphere in several individual dining rooms which were originally classic stone buildings. A good and varied menu with English speaking help if you need it.
