We had a very good meal here last Wednesday - Sandra looked after us beautifully and the food was wonderful - our tortellini starter was exceptional and the lamb was cooked to perfection. The chocolate fondant dessert merits a special mention. Sandra also selected a very good vino tinto for us.

Sandra and Mark of Los Laureles in Almuñecar, helped us create a fabulous 60th anniversary party by preparing and serving a fantastic sit down 3 course meal, with appetizers before hand at Palacete de Cazulas in Otivar. They arranged for all tables, china and cutlery, linens, chairs, etc., plus excellent very professional staff. Sandra thought of everything, helped decide where... More

We went there in the middle of the week and had fantastic food. Normally we go on Fridays for the tasting menue, but we can recommend the restaurant during the week as well.

Lets first make a general remark. To find a good restaurant in Almunecar is not easy. To plunge in the deep ... Los Laureles was in general a place to recommend, no spectacular sea views but nice garden and terrace. My starter (ravioli with lobster) was so so, the mustart bedding couldn’t safe it. Too flat in taste. My main... More

We have just spent our third holiday at Los Laureles . Arrived late Sunday pm but an excellent lunch was provided without booking . Recommend the roast lamb!!! and a bottle of Beronia. Sandra has great knowledge about the food and local wines and is always happy to explain in detail what you can expect. The reality is Michelin star quality... More

We were taken for lunch by our neighbours. They have lived in the area for three years and it is one of their favourite restaurants. We chose the menu del dia which had a remarkably good selection of dishes. We all started with the prawn cocktail, dressed with a tropical fruit blend. Three pork loins and one fish followed. My... There are some good places to eat out in Almunecar and this is one of the best. Hidden away in a residential area this restaurant has pretty views of the hills beyond and is a great spot for a meal. We ate outside with the sun setting and really enjoyed our evening. We did not eat off the set menu... More

An fantastic restaurant with the best food in town situated in a nice oas although hard to find the first down, but well worth tracking down. Impressive service and in combination of the good recommended wines, beat atmosphere the food brings you to a nirvana. Extremely high value for money.

We know Spain well and have sampled many restaurants but this is one of the best and our favourite without doubt. It may not be the easiest to find, but it is well worth the effort. The dining room is clean, neat and the white clothed tables are very nice. But it is the food that makes this place outstanding.... More
