Great food and service

I always love the food and service at Houstons. There is just one problem that I encounter. The wait is always so long when you dine in the evenings. I stood and watch people walk in and walk out when they find out that there is such a long wait.

Houstons has the freshest and unique tasting food around. Their burgers, ribs, pork chops, fish, and salads are expertly prepared and delicious. The staff are very attentive and although a bit snooty it all goes well with the experience at this fine restaurant. Don't forget to endulge in their homemade desserts especially the unique key lime pie like no other... More

Sunday night we had one of the most disappointing dinners that I can remember. We have loved Houston's for as long as I can remember. The food has been reliably good and the service fast and good. This evening was just the opposite. We had a party of 7 in the large booth at the top--two children and 5 adults.... More

Writing this review is like breaking up with an old friend who you thought would always be there for you. Houston's still serves some of the best casual dining fare in the city; the spinach dip is yet to be topped. And though I've never had it, my friends swear the Hawaiian ribeye remains the stuff of dreams, But a... More

30 years ago when my husband and I first got married we lived in Atlanta and this was one of our haunts. It was a great restaurant then with super food and a great bar. We were in town last week and decided to dine there again. Well, obviously the tradition continues because the wait was an hour and well... More

This was my first visit to a Houston's, and I will definitely return. The ambience is warm, inviting, and lively without being noisy. The restaurant has a certain charm that comes from the combination of decor and lighting -- very appealing. The restaurant was very busy on this Saturday. We had a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes of... More

We have eaten at other Houstons in the Atlanta area and liked them very much. However we tried the Northside location and had a server, Kristen, who was obviously sick and barely acknowledged us. I had the fried chicken salad and the chicken was beyond cold - tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. It came with some... More

We visited Houston's for lunch on Valentine's Day. It was very busy but we were seated within 20 minutes or so. We placed our order and waited, and waited, and waited... watching food come out all around us. Our waitress checked in with us several times then brought us a free side dish to try. About 10 minutes later the... More

Haven't been to Houston's in years. Visiting from Florida and wanted to get my Houston's fix. Was not disappointed. Arrived twenty minutes before our reservation and purchased a cocktail from the bar. Drinks are a little pricey, but worth it. When we were seated to our table, our server came in a timely fashion. I ordered the fish special and... More

Feel compelled to give an average rating due to the atmosphere not the food. After making a reservation for our anniversary dinner a week in advance we were surprised to find a bar booth as our location. The steak, ribs and bottle of wine were absolutely delicious but the noise of the bar was so bad we couldn't hear the... More
