Old, dirty and run down at every corner! Even going throught the parking area had to fight huge pot holes. Inside looked like it hadnt been re-done in many years. Food was super greasy, over priced, and not very good at all. I seriously have no idea as to why people like or return to this place.

My friend and I ordered combo number one (2 chili dogs and fries). We also upgraded to try a frosted orange shake. The total was $10.59 per person. The food was just average. Around 6 hours later, my friend started getting diarrhea and I had stomach and intestine pain. He had to take the following day off from work and... More

You have not visited Atlanta unless you have tried the Varsity! This is an Atlanta classic. Get ready for the grease. It actually has lost some of its nostalgia in recent years when it added the video screens and stopped having all the workers yelling, "What'll ya have" - but still brings back memories! Try the Onion Rings! Great!

Average food, no toppings on burgers. The only decent sized portion was the fries. Would not go back. If you've heard great things, don't waste your time.

This food is terrible. I notice that when I was there everyone in there was a tourist and no locals. The locals know how bad the food is at this place. Nothing but grease and small burgers and hotdogs. I will never eat there again when in Atlanta. Tourist Trap famous from the Olympics.

Family ate here on an extremely busy home GA Tech vs. Miami football game. We read they serve tens of thousands on game day, and I'm now a believer. Once up to the order counter, you're greeted with their patented, "What'll ya have?" Known for their dogs, coneys, ham or cheeseburgers with fries or onion rings, do save room for... More

I walked over to the theVarsity on North Ave. from my hotel late Saturday afternoon. Football fans were walking in droves to the Georgia Tech football game. Many were stopping at the Varsity. I had never eaten here and I was quickly captivated by the spirit and the tradition. Super busy but friendly cashiers shouting out for the next customer.... More

I am not a fan of hot dogs so I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. That was the worst chicken sandwich I have ever had. It was supposed to be grilled. It looked like it had been boiled several hours ago. I couldn't hardly chew it. The French fries were soggy. The frozen orange wasn't even frozen. The onion rings... More

A real greasy spoon - fast food at its best/worst. Quite expensive but tasted really good. Has to be done. Also a good gift shop with a good range of tshirts, hats etc which are far better value than other places locally.
