Tuna Poke, Caesar salad. and Rib eye all excellent ! more
I have been to Rathbun's probably a dozen times, and thoroughly enjoy the food. However, I will not be returning. It has now been two times that I have showed up on time for a late-ish reservation only to be told that the restaurant is full, and I will have to wait for a table; for over AN HOUR. During... more
A surprisingly romantic restaurant, given its sorta hard-to-find industrial in the middle of a rather mixed neighborhood on the west side of Atlanta. The atmosphere screams metropolitan, but the menu is very affordable given its ingenuity in food construction. I had crispy duck breast over thai risotto. It was fabulous! My date had shrimp and grits which were some of... more
We went to Rathbun's recently to celebrate my 30th birthday, and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we've ever had. Not only were the entrees spectacular, but the meal was good all the way from wine to dessert. We ordered the open faced pork ravioli and fried oysters for appetizers, and both were excellent. Then we... more
Took a biz party of 11 there last night and it was excellent. The Rib-Eye is highly recommended. We shared appetizers of Tuna, Lobster & Meat Balls and all were done with an updated twist and well received. Excellent bar and wine list plus a great vibe It's easy to get the place confused with the other Rathburn's Krog's Bar-... more
Wanted to make sure anyone reading these reviews knows there is a difference between Rathbun's and Rathbun's Steak. They are both owned by Kevin Rathbun and are located close together, but are different restaurants w/different menus, vibes, etc. Rathbun's (not the steak house) is my husband's and my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Delicious small plates and great entrees, helpful attentive... more
I have dined at Rathbun's Steakhouse 4 times now and always have a great experience. I read the other reviews about some items being too salty and do remember once thinking that about one of my sides. But other than that, this is one of the best restaurants in town! I love seafood more than steaks, but still have not... more
Our group of five experienced first class dining in this somewhat difficult to find restaurant. The service was perfect on a Saturday night, with a huge crowd. We chose an outside table to get away from the loud music playing inside to a younger crowd; arriving at 7:00 before the onslaught, with reservations, probably helped. The small plate appetizers were... more
Went to Rathbun's for the first time last night, and definitely won't be going back. We decided to sample a bunch of the small plates. Nothing we had was outstanding, although the lamb scaloppini was definitely the highlight of the meal. The raw plate hawaiian sushi was completely overpowered with sea salt, but the waitress took it back to the... more
My husband and I were looking forward to a special meal for our anniversary. We wanted to try a lot of the small plates Rathbun's is famous for. One was truly excellent (the Thai rare beef), two were very good (eggplant steak fries, the tuna crudo -- tasty, but the citrus dressing was so concentrated and perfumey it invoked Lemon... more
