Reality is iconoclastic . . . or, put another way: experience shatters expectations. I have heard of Nuevo Laredo's excellence for years. A few days ago, I visited this iconic Mexican restaurant with my family for the first time. We had a good time, and the staff is very friendly, but I have no intention of returning a second time.... We went here for a friend's birthday and there were 8 of us. The hostess will tell you that ALL of your party must be present in order to be seated. A little inconvenient, but that's their rules. Signs are posted they can split checks for credit card payments up to 4 cards. Again, a little inconvenient. We understood that... More

This funky little place offers excellent food to go with the atmosphere. The menu is large enough to satisfy the most picky eater. The food is delicious. Wine, beer, margaritas, etc. are served. Sunday afternoons tend to offer immediate seating. The prices are very fair.

First, the atmosphere and decor: you know this place is authentic Mexican, just look at the owner Chance's pictures all over the walls! Very eclectic and interesting art pictures and stuff! Secondly, the food is outstanding! I always get the queso cheese dip and carne asada tacos. Put a little dip on tacos. Salsa is out of this world! Thirdly,... More

Once you get seated, the food and service are great. You can order the usual tacos, enchiladas & burrito, but why bother when there are so many more interesting items on the menu. But I gotta tell you -- no reservations & plan on waiting 45 minutes to an hour (even at 6pm)

I had heard rumors of how great the Mexican food at Nuevo Laredo was…. Last night I decided to give it a shot. They parking lot is small but they have a larger lot across the street. I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere on our way out to it but eventually we found it. It was... More

Had a meeting three miles away and looked on trip advisor and found this small mexican restaurant (so it appeared) and went inside and found it wasn't small,it was two big rooms in good mexican decor, full bar (but small) great service and even greater food. It was about 1:30 pm and the place was full. We will go back....

The place may look like a hole in the wall but the food is out of this world! Pork tacos and guacamole are best I've ever had! The place is busy but it's worth the wait. It's the only Mexican restaurant I go now!

You may need GPS to locate Nuevo Laredo Cantina but it's worth the effort. Spicey, authentic and tasty describe this restaurant for me. The pork enchiladas are one of my favorites. Expect to wait. This place is popular.

Having lived in California, I know a little about decent Mexican food. This is the best Mexican food I've eaten since I left CA in 89, and believe me, I try every Mexican restaurant I can find. The chips and salsa are fresh and muey picante. If you don't like the heat, stay out of the kitchen! Great seafood tacos,... More
