Great Mother's Day Brunch! Gorgeous setting!

We took our 84 year old mom here for Mother's Day Brunch. The restaurant is in the Crowne Plaza Ravinia hotel on the bottom level. Feels like a terrace, but it isn't. You can hear the waterfall as you dine a la carte or buffet style. The waiter talked us into the buffet as an added value. He was right. Good old Southern style grits with butter (too rich for my blood), fruits, breakfast meats, yogurts, pancakes, etc. Wait staff was excellent. Food comforting and... More

The restaurant us located in a hotel, the Ravinia. It has a beautiful view of trees, paths and flowers in the rear of the hotel. This only adds to the dining experience. Superb, experienced waiters know the menu and can answer all questions. Delicious food--fresh warm bread as an appetizer. I ordered the pasta of the day with vegetables, chicken... More

Excellent service, delicious food and great view. What more could you ask for. I felt very pampered and special at this restaurant.

10 minutes standing and waiting to be seated in front of an empty reception desk while the place is not busy is a bad start... We were approached by may be a bus boy Slow and unresponsive service: Glass of water was never filled again for the all time we were seated and we did request more water and bred... More

I was staying in the Crowne Plaza and this is one of the dining options located in the hotel. Decided to eat here as I did not want "just another hotel meal". I was very, very surprised at how nice the meal and service was. Nice atmosphere, excellent service and great food. I had the classic Caesar salad and pasta... More

I was staying due to a conference and found this restaurant. 6 of us ate dinner. The bread and oil beforehand was very tasty. My Veal Marsala was different from what i am used to but quite nice...it came with some vegetables too...meaning we need not have ordered our extra bowl. For a restaurant the drinks service was unusually slow...and... More

I was staying at the Crowne Plaza for a work event and was just roaming around the lobby of the hotel to see what options there were. Randomly I walked down some stairs through a rainforest like atomsphere and stumbled on this supposed gem of an Italian restaurant. Triple A 4 diamond awards for the last 5 years (at least),... La Grotta on Peachtree was our anniverisary dinner tradition. Last year I made reservations at La Grotta Ravinia, by accident, and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and wrote a top review. So, we decided to go again this year. I got the living social $18 savings coupon. Results, food was excellent, try the scallops, first class. Our waiter disappeared... More

Convenient for a hotel restaurant. The cuisine is average to good with staff to match. The menu has a variety of options, I especially enjoyed the beet salad. The wine list is overly pricey so beware of the waiter making choices for you.
