We arrived late to Mary Mac's Tea Room, but you would never be able to tell by the enthusiastic welcome we received from the folks in the front area. Our server, Terry, was knowledgeable and gave us professional service. He explained the procedure for creating our meal selection. Really great experience.

We had our first exposure to southern comfort food at Mary Mac's and were glad that it was a lovely one. From the friendly greeting when we arrived to the casual and pleasant atmosphere at the table, we were charmed. Our waiter took time to explain the dishes on the menu, especially the ones that we weren't familiar with. And... More

Delicious food, and cheerful service. So much food!! Great place to stop for a true southern meal. Try the chicken-fried chicken.

My two adult sons and I meet for lunch every week or so, selecting the "good food" old Atlanta restaurant locations that have been around for decades. Last Saturday we met at Mary Mac's Tea Room on Ponce, where I had been for many business lunches in the 80s. Neither of my sons had ever eaten at Mary Mac's, but... More

we had a really nice meal--southern food heaven. Shrimp & grits, fried green tomatoes, sweet tea. Very nice people, too.

From the service to the ambiance, Mary Mac's is on point. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with smothered gravy. It was quite delicious with collard greens and mac & cheese (not my favorite). Everyone with me ordered the mac and was sadly disappointed - one sore spot on an otherwise great experience. Also, the bread basket, don't skip it.... More

Hosting a large group of teenagers can be a very difficult task, but Mary Mac's handled it beautifully. The food was amazing and the service was top notch.

I've had soul food done right, but this place did soul food righteous. Everything we had was top notch cuisine. Enjoyed the fried seafood platter, your choice of items, I ordered all four (shrimps, catfish, oysters & crawfish), very reasonable price as well. Along with two sides (mac & cheese plus steamed cabbage) can't go wrong with any thing on... More

Party of about 15 visiting ATL and my girlfriend decided on dinner here for her birthday. There is a wide variety of food here; the waitress allowed us to sample several items such as the meatloaf, collard greens and sweet potato souffle. All three were delicious. Waitress kept our table full of yeast and cinnamon rolls; omg the cinnamon rolls... More
