We walked to Mary Mac's from our hotel. It was the best food we had in Atlanta. Large portions of classic southern fare, good ambiance and we learned a little about the historical significance of southern tea rooms. Try the macaroni and cheese!

First time I went (in Oct. 2012) was a small group and we had a great meal. The following October (2013) I had an opportunity to bring a larger group of 12. We had the shared meal menu and could not even eat the included desert. We had to take it with us as we could not stop enjoying the... More

Have lived in Atlanta all my life and visited Mary Mac's many times. Recently, we went with four friends from other states and we were almost embarrassed by the quality of the food (since we had bragged about the wonderful Southern menu). The two side items which I had were squash casserole and mac and cheese. Both were made with... More

Service was great and the gentleman that assisted us was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant. The sweet potatoes are a must have - providing a different spin to the normal way they are prepared.

I have been coming here since my college days and this is still the same great food. Collard greens fried chicken, Fried green tomatoes, apple pie, banana pudding it's all the best. It's very difficult not to over order the portions are hefty. We really enjoyed it and we will be back.

Imagine the best Southern church pot-luck ever!! There were three of us, and between us we had blackened catfish, baked chicken and dressing and ribs plus sides of fried green tomatoes, collards, squash souffle, vegetable souffle and macaroni and cheese plus a bread assortment. It was ALL amazing, each dish even better than the last. I absoultely loved the moist,... More

We were in Atlanta looking for some good southern comfort food. We were told by many to go to Mary Mac's. It did not disappoint. When we arrived it looked like a typical southern restaurant you see in the movies. Very quaint like an old home, but clean and comfortable. Staff was great and we were seated right away. There... First let me just say - the food here is SPECTACULAR! Everything I ate was good. So if you're in the mood for some good old fashioned southern cuisine, you won't be disappointed. But beyond that, the atmosphere is great. It's quite large for a "tea room". And there was a nice buzz in the air. You're greeted with southern... More
