How the cooks achieve this feather-light, crunchy crusted, juicy, and perfectly delicious chicken is beyond my masters-degree-in-food-science comprehension. Really. I've eaten my weight in southern fried chicken and have never tasted anything to compare. The salad bar that comes with every meal, though compact in size, was fresh and offered a good variety of vegetables, mixed salads, and some unique... More

We stopped in for dinner around 5pm and got seated immediately. I had the fried chicken and ribs which was excellent; my wife had the ribeye which was also top notch. I had a Hurricane down Peachtree and my wife had a Southern Long Island Ice Tea - both of which were superb. The service at both the bar and... More

I was in Atlanta for a Convention and stayed one extra night. Not knowing the area and never having been to Atlanta before, I wanted to know a great place the locals recommended!! I was led to Pittypat's Porch! From the adorable server who truly loves her job to the delicious meal, I loved the experience. They have a wonderful... More

Had shrimp and grits which were great but made differently then accustomed to- grilled onions and peppers on top. Home style veggies served. Neat place!

Themed after Aunt Pitty Pats porch in the movie Gone with the Wind this restaurant had Great Southern Style cooking, generous portions, a fun atmosphere, friendly staff and lots of charm. "Big Mama" stands out for me in particular. She is not big but a beautiful "mama" who made us feel like family!

We were told it would be 30-35 minutes before we were seated...it was more than 1 hour...and it was more than 2 hours from the time we entered the restaurant before we were served our order...an appetizer! If you come, make reservations!!!

Great southern cooking. Biscuits, cornbread, grits, fried green tomatoes. Good menu options. I dined with 9 others and everyone enjoyed their dinner. Some ordered salmon which tasted fresh and perfectly cooked, not dry. Three ordered shrimp and grits which they enjoyed very much. No complaints from anyone. Salad bar is great, lots of options. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

With prior reservations, with a crowd outside of Pittypat's Porch, we were immediately welcomed and brought right to our table. Within a minute, a vey cheerful waitress greeted us with standard first questions BUT then entertained us with a telling of the relevant history of the restaurant. After tasting a few salad makings from the well supplied buffet, we then... More

A Sunday evening in October led us to the PPP. We were a group of 11. I had never eaten here however several members of the group had, albeit 10 years ago. The restaurant is on two floors. The main floor at street level looks recently renovated, is bright and cheery. The main dining room is located downstairs and is... More

We found this place by accident since it is just up the street from our hotel at the Double Tree. Always looking for something different we thought this place was pretty good. I made a reservation online shortly before we went (on a Monday night at 6:15) requesting the patio so we could sit and people watch. We were greeted... More
