Can't beat their crab cake salad!

I have been to this place several times for lunch but just went for a birthday dinner and it was really very nice. A great neighborhood place and you could tell there were many

If they cook it, it's reliable! Love the crab cakes, Avocado Egg Roll, the signature Shrimp Massaman, Filet Salad...yum! Friendly, attentive service. Bustling environment.

A friend took us to dinner here. It's not fancy; not one of those designed by big design group. BUT... the food was outstanding. Now what's more important design or food? I had the BEST crab cakes I ever ate in my life. AND they were gluten-free meaning they had no fillers of breadcrumbs, etc. My husband and the fish... More

This was our third visit and it continues to impress. Make a reservation for Friday and Sat as they do get busy. The panko encrusted tomatoes is a great stater. Jack's Creole Chicken or the Boneless Braised Short Ribs (comfort foods) are my favorites. The Brooklyn Signature Filet Mignon Salad is a great light /summer time entree. Very good wine... More

Hot local spot, noise an issue for older folks. Decent food and above average wine list. I recommend their smoke salmon that they do on site. Great for families with kids.

I've been coming here a long time and completely get that it's a neighborhood restaurant with a ton of regulars. But does that mean the menu never, and mean NEVER, change? And how hard is it to keep smoked salmon in stock for an appetizer. It has been unavailable the last three times I've been there and it's not like... More

An excellent neighborhood restaurant that is back to where they were when they first opened. The service is excellent as is the food prep and presentation. The seafood, fish, and beef entrees are all very popular, making ordering a somewhat difficult call. The appetizers and salads are very tasty and also very will prepared. Highly recommended - Reservations a must.

If you'd like a place that knows your name, and even your cocktail, this is the place for you. The staff is the best I've ever known, practically family! The recipes pay attention to little details lots of places don't bother anymore. It's even fun to eat at the bar (if you become a regular your name might even be... More

Just celebrated a friends birthday with lunch at Brooklyn Cafe. I had not been there for years and am now wishing that wasn't the case. We started with the Grilled Artichokes Appetizer and Lobster Bisque. Both were outstanding - truly one of the best ever Lobster Bisques I have ever enjoyed. We both had the Crab Cake Salad as our... First time at Brooklyn Cafe for a long time. The food was very good. We tried the avocado egg rolls and Caesar salad both were very good. The lobster bisque was too salty. For the main dishes we had the shrimp Tacos which were sloppy to eat but very good. The crab cakes were excellent and ONE OF THE BEST... More
