Parking isn’t easy. There’s a good reason for that. The same one as the long line up the street. These ribs are good. Plenty of others have said so and I can’t add much to that. The basic might add to the charm, but you didn’t come here for the wooden seats. Chances are you didn’t come for the blues... More

Fat Matt's is a southern hickory smoked rib and chicken restaurant that features various blues artists and bands. A full list of their foods and prices can be found on their website. A schedule of bands is also available. Both the loin ribs and the chicken are tender and moist, their B-B-Q sauce is tasty. Prices are reasonable, too. This... More

Heck yea! if the word fits-let Fat Matt's wear it! I always order the same thing (so I'm a creature of habit when certain things work)-fall off the bones slab (or half of slab) of ribs, mac and cheese and Brunswick stew. I have to remind myself to not order the mac and cheese, again. While it looks delicious and... More

Fatt Matt's is only popular because it has been around a long time and keeps up the appearance of being an authentic rib shack, and it's located in a bourgeois-friendly neighborhood. Admittedly, the ribs are pretty good, but the pulled pork is no better than what you can buy at the Publix deli in a plastic tub. Instead, go get... More

This place is exactly as it should be. Go there, eat as much as you can of as many different things as you can. A true American treasure. Tip: get a pitcher of Terrapin IPA regardless of what time it is.

Matt's doesn't look like much from the outside. But don't worry, you're in the right place. You can tell by the line stretching out the door that this is a BBQ joint that people can't do without. The cozy interior and live Blues add to the experience. Sit down with a plate of ribs, or a "slab" as they call... More

Some of the best ribs I've ever had. We stayed downtown for a conference but this was well worth the taxi ride for some great ribs. Had to wait outside in line to order (6:30pm on Sunday), but we enjoyed a super smoky meat scent while waiting, making our mouths water. The ribs didn't need any sauce and fell right... More

Found this place through the food network and it was a short drive after visiting the Carter Library in Atlanta. We had ribs, which are their specialty and they were fabulous! Best ribs I have ever eaten. Fall off the bone tender and the sauce was just the right tangy/sweet mix. We bought a bottle of that to bring home.... More

One thing we can't seem to find in Arizona is good ribs, so every time we go east we try a rib place. On a recent trip to Atlanta we tried Fat Matt's and loved it! This is not a romantic date night place -it's just "into your elbows" good food!

I am not a Rib guy, but I am all in on Fat Matt's Rib Shack. They are easily the most tender and moistest I have ever had. The rum infused baked beans were equally amazing and the potato salad was a required staple for any southern barbecue lunch plate. The jazz music provided an enjoyable ambient sound that cemented...
