Good Old Boy southern down home cookin. Exceptional service. Next to Waffle House in value. BarBQ is so so. Reminds me of early age diners.
New to the area, and this place is close to our new home. Stopped in for dinner on Sunday eve. Not fancy by any means.... more like an old-school diner. Service was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen could have been a bit faster. Roasted 1/2 chicken: very good. Brunswick stew: excellent (full disclosure, this was the first time I have... More
Had vegetable plate for lunch today. Had BBQ the other day. Both are good but not great. A very local place with a good local following. Casual atmosphere that doesn't look the cleanest or best but that when way. That is the way good local Q places look. Staff friendly and service is prompt.
When you want a nice country breakfast that makes you think of your grandma, this is the place. As far as lunch and dinner, the food is good but Breakfast is a MUST!! You get more that you can eat and it's cheap!!! SOO GOOD!!!
A distant 1 out of 10 this week for this overrated spot in Dunwoody. Nothing exciting at all yet good spot for those on the very very tight budget. Not for a regular, everyday dining spot at all.
Good breakfast. You get the feeling that many folks go there every day. As you'd expect, they usualy BBQ sandwiches, platters, etc... Service is usually fast and attentive.
Our Daughter that had twins a few weeks ago at Northside She wanted barbecue and Brunswick stew.We have always loved Old hickory house but have never been to this particular location: we had a large group so we ordered lots of food. The ribs, the. pork and Brunswick stew really really good. Our waitress was very patient with some of... More
While the food is wonderfully sinful, with all that butter, the decor is old and there was a bug that ran across the back of a booth. It was killed by the waitress without any fuss or attention being drawn to it. The waitresses were friendly and the food came out quickly. I will return for the wonderful grits but... More
Have been coming to OHH since the 1960's and it never disappoints. The Brunswick Stew is a classic and reason enough to visit. Family members from out of town always insist on eating here. Great for breakfast too!
Not sure what is going on at this location but the customer service is not what it used to be. There BBQ is usually good but customer service matters also. There's too many other BBQ places to go.
