Description: Imagine hearing the horses' hooves beat across the pampas, the lowing of cattle in the background, men telling adventurous stories of the day, and the sound of wood crackling in a blazing fire. The smell of dust and wild grass permeates the evening air. Succulent meats roast over an open flame, and the smoke burns your eyes. Your mouth watering, ready to bite into a fresh slice, you sharpen your knife. A good day's work and a good meal. You'd be DINING GAUCHO STYLE! The culinary traditions of Churrasco live on, as we still slow cook our meats over an open flame. Now, however, we season the meats with SAL GROSSO (course salt) and serve them Rodizio style. Rodizio is our innovative table side service of a large variety of choice cuts of beef, lamb, pork and poultry. -Regular Prices Complete Rodizio (Lunch) -$21.95pp Complete Rodizio(Dinner) -$41.95pp Drinks are not included on regular prices, and are changed by the bottle/glass- no refills.

Went there on a Friday night april 19th for my anniversary and they were closed. Drove an hour to get there for disappointment. No phone call to let us know. Had to see a sign on the door and employees telling us about the lame excuses they are using on why it is closed. After ten years of coming here... More

$40 for dinner and Fogo is $50. Sal's salad bar is ok; just ok, and they don't change it very often. Most of the vegetables are undercooked or overcooked, never "just right" The meat is nice, but as I said, I woudl rather pay the extra $10 for Fogo and get an amazing meal with one of the best salad... What happened to their salad bar, it was my favorite part. Shrimp, hearts of Palm, fresh cheeses and the antipasti., where did it all go...... the meat I ate was good but all the choices they used to have NO beef ribs, NO sausage, only saw the sword fish come around once during our meal. We went there with some friends... More

I have lived in Brazil and eaten at many Brazilian Steakhouses. Sal Grosso used to be a decent place to eat rodizio. I have noticed a steady decline since 2010. As of Jan 2013 and as far as I am concerned, it's not a good restaurant anymore (Friday night and maybe 20 people there and the restaurant next door was... More

I was taken here for Sunday lunch for my birthday this year. It's a very unique place where gouchos (waiters) bring you meat on a sword and you choose which type you want and how much you would like. The lamb was very good as was the swordfish. The beef wasn't very tender but tasty. The salad bar had very... More

We discovered this restaurant through a Groupon certificate last Saturday. The certificate called for reservation required, but when we arrived at the restaurant, at 8 pm last Saturday night it was not even half full. The salad bar was limited, compared to our usual Fogo de Chao, which is only a couple of dollars more expensive. We had to ask... More

Even then, I would have had no qualms about paying full retail. I am a raging carnivore, and Brazilian steakhouses are my Kryptonite. The bacon-wrapped tenderloin melted on the tongue like butter, and the garlic beef was even better. Some background: I was in Atlanta for a convention, and a group of us went up there together. Sal Grosso had... More

For the price and experience you have to compare it with Fogo de Chao. We had a LivingSocial Coupon and so we decided to drive out from Conyers to try it. pros: - less crowded than Fogo de Chao - MUCH quieter than Fogo de Chao - The leg of lamb was better here - the rump roast and garlic... More

If you are a carnivore, this may be special, but it is a little over the top and doesn't have as good a salad bar as Fogo de Chao.

The food here was great. I had never been to this type of place before. It is pricey but worth it one time. I ate more types of meat than I ever had at one meal and it was all good. They have a large salad type bar with food I had never tried before either. We really enjoyed eating... More
