Canoe lived up to all its hype when my wife and I dined there for the first time recently. The riverside setting and landscaping were superb, especially from a table on the patio on a temperate night. Waitress Brittany provided helpful insights and was attentive and efficient. My wife's pork tenderloin was one of the best she has tasted, enhanced... More

Wow! We just can't get enough of this place! I can't even put enough words into this review about how awesome the service is! Our server, Ethan, was absolutely WONDERFUL! The hostess was so vibrant and friendly. She welcomed us as if we were best friends! The food was phenomenal, as always. Well-worth the money spent IF you value ambiance... More

Had the half duck and lemon chicken. Excellent in both flavour and quality of meat. Very friendly owner. We had enough food left over for a microwave dinner the following night.

I was taken here for my birthday and I did not have any expectations of the place. This is a nice place for an intimate dinner setting with the river view curve booth type seats. However, I wasn't really impressed with the food. I had the jumbo crab appetizer, sole fish entree and the popcorn sundae for desert and I... More

The chill of one of the coldest days in Atlanta was cancelled by the warm, friendly atmosphere of CANOE. Complimentary valet service was appreciated. Our lunch for 5, all of us out-of-towners and all well-traveled, was superb. Scott, our fine waiter explained all dishes precisely and provided impeccable service - our various shrimp, crab cake, chicken entrees were tasty and... More

We expected a superb dining experience and first of all in terms of taste - I heard a lot about Atlanta's general highest standards in restaurants, and reviews of Canoe specifically made me expect a miracle While some of the expectations were met and exceeded, some were not. In terms of service, place and crowd it was great - may... More

It's expensive but food is worth it. Add the atmosphere and surreal garden and impeccable service and this is the BEST DATE NIGHT PLACE surpassing all the buck head group. The menu makes it tough to decide but stray from the norm, never disappointed. When the bill comes I take a deep breath but know it's worth it.

We were in town for a conference and had the opportunity to get "away" and try Canoe. Are we glad we did! Not only was the location pristine, but the service was fantastic. Only thing better than the quality of service was the food. My colleague and I shared the duck and rabbit...wonderful!

Often listed as one of the best in Atlanta ( its view IS), one recent night was disappointing. The clams in the "special" sweet potato and clam soup were tough -- clams do that if they are overcooked. The duck (20%) and beef (80%) burger topped with soft boiled egg ( almost everything seems to be this year) was dry.... More

The food was very good, but the price was very steep. Two of the four of us had red meat which my partner, who is very appreciative of good meat thought was too tough. He was also disappointed in the chocolate martini which lacked creme de cacao and any chocolate swirls. I enjoyed my trout and the arugela salad. I... More
