Could have sworn I heard him singing!Best damn steak house in Atlanta. Music is fun but the steak or seafood will get your attention. It is easy to see this is a local favorite but they are so appreciative of the visitor. Book it on your next trip and bet you will do it again. Elvis might be there if... More

If you are looking for great steak or seafood you must try Hal's. The food is simply amazing...from the appetizers (Oysters Bordelaise) to the main dishes (Prime Bone-in Ribeye and Sea Bass) to the dessert (Bread Pudding). Their sides are great too and big enough to share. This is one of my favorite spots for steaks. Other notes: Be sure... More

Was in the bar, manager, some relative of owner, acted like an jerk. Made our visit a total disappointment. We left after one drink, and will never return

Hals is a one of a kind experience. Superb food and service in an atmosphere that is so comfortable that you almost don't notice the formal touches. Go ahead and spend the money - you'll love it.

Whole menu excellent but their signature 12oz filet, Pittsburg preparation, cannot be beat. Likewise the two "special" appetizers (never on the menu; you must request) of fried oysters and the shrimp remoulade are divine.

We love dining at Hal's, our food is always outstanding. That being said, I gave 2 stars because of our server. We have endured him twice in the last month, it won't stop us from coming back, but we will respectively ask not to be seated his section. My Filet Mignon was melt in your mouth delicious but would of... More

It is appropriate that a former New Orleanean, schooled in the traditions of quality dining in New Orleans, create a place like this. Hal Nowak has. THIS IS A EUPEPTIC MASTERPIECE proven by the standing room only crowd last Friday night. We two managed a corner stand/seat at the bar and enjoyed bar keepster Katrina’s custom shandyed beers, rightly priced... More

Best steakhouse in Atlanta and one of the best in the southeast. Great service and huge portions. Great place for a business dinner.

This is a restaurant were you will find the locals and probably see dignitaries or movie stars. This is my favorite place for a steak in Atlanta but everything I've tried on the menu has been memorable.
