What a great place to celebrate a successful day of meetings. The Steak was amazing and finish with delicious strawberry cheesecake.

Hal's is a place which is highly underrated to some people...mainly because they have never been here . I also recommend the gumbo, lump crabmeat and sautéed mushrooms.

My best friend suggested this restaurant to me, and it sure didn't disappoint. I love steak and this restaurant is right up my alley. I had the bone in ribeye and it was cooked perfectly to what I wanted. We also had some delicious oysters for appetizer. Service is good and portion size is good. Parking is not the easiest... More

Hal's on Old Ivy is a great place for fantastic steaks and delicious oysters.. A New Orleans-style steak house. It is always crowded. Definitely need reservations. Fantastic service. If you are looking for a quiet spot this is NOT the place for you but I love the feel and the energy at Hal's.

Our steaks were really terrific. The sides were good but not great. Service good - not special. We would go again if we want steak, as it is the star of the show here. For me, I have to sit upstairs because downstairs is kind of a time warp....smoking is allowed at the bar downstairs (not sure about the dining... More

My daughter & son-in-law took me to Hal's for my birthday. The waitstaff was very attentive and happy to answer questions. They had bone in ribeye & I had duck. Both were excellent but the fried lobster tail with crab was a must have. As were the truffle mac and cheese & yummy creme brûlée.

Wonderful drinks and too many of them! But, the food the service, the venue, everything was fantastic. We've been here several times and it is a favorite - Excellent steak restaurant. Prepare to spend some money - this is not a cheap eat - It's over the top good food though and has the normal chain steak fine dining beat... More

I have been doing business in Atlanta for over 15 years and a customer just now introduced me to Hal's. The cuisine is New Orleans style and Hal has been delivering tastes of New Orleans to Atlanta for over 30 years since moving to Atlanta from his hometown of New Orleans. The chargrilled oysters were outstanding. The trout almandine was... More

My boyfriend and I decided to hit up a nice steakhouse for dinner on Saturday afternoon and were surprised to find a last minute reservation for early that evening at Hal's. The service was great and the food was delicious. We started with their mussels and another lobster appetizer. Both were wonderful! Our filets proved to be too much food,... More

Went there for a business dinner last Tuesday. The Food was very good, at least the entrees are. Appetizer are nothing special to talk about. Steaks are cooked to perfection and the service was very good. But! Defiantly not a good restaurant for a business dinner, very loud.
