Hal's is known for serving steak cooked to perfection BUT they also have a lovely Chilean Sea Bass which I would recommend if you are not in the red meat mood. They know how to mix the perfect martini and the wait staff is attentive without being over bearing. The main downside is the noise - is typically very noisy... More

We had such great food and service on a Friday night in a packed house. The bar scene here is always lively and plenty of locals hang with visitors. The starter we had was a specialty, oysters baked with garlic butter and parmesan; so good we ordered it again and at every one. The sea bass was dynamite and prepared... More

I rarely give anything 5 stars but the Filet I had here this past weekend was the best I've had in Atlanta and should be rated a 5+ (and yes I've been to the famous place on Piedmont). They also have an excellent wine list with several quality bottle choices for an affordable price. I will say that both the... More

I had not been to Hal's in more than five years, but was pleased to see that nothing has changed. Hal's still serves the best steak in Atlanta, has the best waiters, the best drinks, and best people-watching. The only negatives are the crowded tables and bar area downstairs and the noise level. If you want a quieter dinner, go... More

This place is for you if you like the vibe of mixing money, beauty, and "Chicago style" steak/martini house all together. This is a power dinner restaurant and you will see many local and national power players here. Can't say anything much more other than if you like the sight of pretty ladies, you won't be disappointed as a lot... More

Could have sworn I heard him singing!Best damn steak house in Atlanta. Music is fun but the steak or seafood will get your attention. It is easy to see this is a local favorite but they are so appreciative of the visitor. Book it on your next trip and bet you will do it again. Elvis might be there if... More

If you are looking for great steak or seafood you must try Hal's. The food is simply amazing...from the appetizers (Oysters Bordelaise) to the main dishes (Prime Bone-in Ribeye and Sea Bass) to the dessert (Bread Pudding). Their sides are great too and big enough to share. This is one of my favorite spots for steaks. Other notes: Be sure... More

Was in the bar, manager, some relative of owner, acted like an jerk. Made our visit a total disappointment. We left after one drink, and will never return

Hals is a one of a kind experience. Superb food and service in an atmosphere that is so comfortable that you almost don't notice the formal touches. Go ahead and spend the money - you'll love it.
