Nice Seafood for a Steakhouse

We went to Hal's primarily because it was near our hotel. So glad we did. The portions were huge. Seafood was very tasty. Service was excellent. Good wine list.

Great spot for a night out with friends or a date. Its a little pricey but the food is always fabulous. The filet and the mashed potatoes never disappoint. With a big group a table is perfect but the bar is the place to be. Nice professional staff and good service. Always has a nice crowd.

Hal's is a very bustling, loud, smoky & crowded restaurant. With that being said, the atmosphere is not for everyone. Personally, I loved the atmosphere. I felt as if I wasn't even in Atlanta in 2015, but more like transported to a "back in the day" place. All of the sides were amazing, especially the Mac & cheese. The real... More

I took my wife to Hal's for a special dinner and we were not disappointed!! The quality of both the food and service we experienced were unmatched. Tom, (quite possibly the best waiter in Atlanta) was both knowledgeable and very friendly. He made us feel at home from the moment we sat down until the moment we left. We didn't... More

Everything is Great at Hals, BUT it is extremely over crowded and management has to many tables jammed in this small restaurant. My Beautiful wife and I really enjoyed the steaks and drinks, but it seemed about every 3-5 minutes someone was either bumping into one of us or the table, very irritating.

Was a really nice restaurant, and pretty expensive. Very good swordfish & the cheesy mashed potato (side) were awesome! The upstairs was quite loud, so be prepared for minimal talking if you happen to eat upstairs.

My favorite steakhouse in town. Great bar, piano entertainment, locals hang out here. Fun bartenders. Excellent waiters. And by far the best darn steak in town. I always order the filet. The lobster labow appetizer is out of this world delicious.

Good was delicious, service was good but waiter's knowledge about wines was not impressive for an expensive restaurant. Place is noisy and crowded

Hal's is more of an old school style steakhouse with a Cajun tilt to it's menu. This visit was my second time and the steaks were perfect. Hal's is a little pricey but for "that" occasion this would be a great choice, the food and atmosphere are worth it.

I have been wanting to go for a long time. The opportunity finally presented itself this weekend. There is only one thing I can say that I did not like. It is pretty dark inside. Had to pull the phone out just to read the menu. After that it was perfect. I ordered a blackened fillet. So good I am... More
