Obviously, you can read the 1000s of reviews on this place, the majority of them glowing, and I'm sure you've read about how to behave and that the place is owned and run by senior citizens, but as always many things are blown-out of proportion. Here's the real deal: This place is certainly a neighborhood gem, many of the customers... More

I have wanted to go to Ann's Snack Bar for some time. I would drive by and see the crowd and think I'll stop another time. Finally, this time, I found a parking spot in another lot and stood while waiting for our lunch. We finally got seats and absolutely delicious hamburgers. It's definitely worth the wait!

Been a while since I have been to Ann's Snack Bar, but the experience is incredible. The place looks like it is about to fall in on itself, with a large screened in porch surrounding the small diner type shop that is inside an enclosed glass space. Miss Ann does everything by hand, and starts everything fresh. She cooks for... More

Yes the wait is long. Order this monster burger and wait with some good company in the screened porch which has electric fans. The wait can be 45 minutes to an hour. I wonder if pay in advance and come back for the burger would work. Will try it next time I'm in Atlanta. The ghetto burger is made of... More

Ann is an older woman who has been running her snack bar for many years. She used to do everything in this busy place by herself. But now that she is older, she’s taken on some help (none of whom are spring chickens themselves). Ann has definitely been on Atlanta’s restaurant map for some time since she won the “best... More

I haven't been to partake in a burger in Miss Ann's in over 6yrs, and I realized why after my visit today. I had promised my sons that we were going to have "guy's day out", so I wanted to do something different and outside the box. I was thinking of somewhere to go for lunch that had "guy's kinda... I'm not going to try to out-do the review before me or any of the thousands before that one. What I would like to say, however, is that as a well-seasoned traveler and burger connoisseur, the "Ghetto Burger" is the best burger I have EVER had on planet Earth. Period. It isn't gimmicky or full of fancy toppings like foie... More

Imagine: A tiny single-wide trailer, dilapidated, fixed with duct tape, smack center in the "urban community." Imagine: An interesting mix of patrons from just about all walks of life, huddled around eight bar stools, and tiny TV blaring in the background. Imagine: The best burger to be had anywhere in the South. Imagine: Awesome food, a funky atmosphere, a fair... More
