We were in Atlanta for a day and had an early dinner on a Monday evening. We were very pleased with this sorta neighborhood eatery. I had a seafood stew with good variety and excellent flavor. My wife e buoyed a Halibut filet cooked perfectly and exhibited good flavors. We shared a calamari appetizer which was outstanding. Although the wine... More

McKinnon's has been around for a long time and it is great every time I go... terrific creole inspired dishes and wonderful service. Some of the best seafood in the area.

Its been many years since we dined at Mckinnon's. Why I'll never know. It was truly a step back into an "old school" time of warm surroundings, gracious hospitality and superb dining. The owner and his staff were "always there but not too close ". The food was outstanding. Numerous preparations of fresh seafood prepared in the Louisiana tradition. This... More

McKinnons is one of my favorite places in Atlanta. Very heavy seafood emphasis. Prices are a bargain with the most expensive item $28. Doesnt look like much from the outside- don''t let that scare you away. The inside has a very dated look to it, but thats what gives the place its charm. There are alot of regulars here which... Things you may find helpful: 1) I found this place when searching for seafood restaurants, even though their sign and website talk about "Cajun and Creole" I found this to be more seafood oriented than New Orleans oriented; 2) If you have to take route 237 (Piedmont Road) to get there then add time to your drive; 3) if you... It was a step back in time, and the warm welcome by Ebi the bartender that had us going back for a second night. It was like being at a family members house. The food was excellent. We will be back the next time we are in town.

We were recommended by the concierge at our hotel to go here, as we were looking for a more local restaurant. We went two nights, one of which was just us and Ebi(the manager), and the other was one of their live music nights. Ebi was a fabulous bartender for us, and was great conversation. The owner was extremely friendly... More

We visited McKinnon's for the first time after passing by it and hearing about it for years and I must say, it did not disappoint! I am from the South and love Louisiana food and often go to Papadeaux to get me fix but I feel McKinnon's is so much more authentic and the food is more flavorful. Now, don't... More

We live in Miami and every time we visit Atlanta or pass through we make plans to stop and eat here. The food is delicious and we've tried most items on the menu. The service is top-notch and the owner is warm and friendly and never forgets us. We've been coming here for years before we had kids and tonight... More
