Succulent fish and seafood (expensive though)

This restaurant offered us some of the best seafood we ever taste din Atlanta. They also have the BEST HUSHPUPPIES we ever tasted like...ever! However, it's on the expensive side. Get your wallets ready (we paid more than $80 for 2 persons with no alcohol ordered and WITH a Scoutmob discount... read more

Read some really great reviews on Tripadvisor, so I was excited to try a Cajun place down in Atlanta. The good reviews must be because the staff is so nice or a lot of people do not know what "good food" is. First off, the concierge at the Ritz-Carlton and the shuttle driver never heard of this place (bad sign).... More

I never tire of this classic restaurant. The food is impeccably prepared and served beautifully. The owner is most gracious and greets everyone personally. Two of my long time friends and I dined there April 18. I had the grouper and my friends had the crab cakes and Trout Almondine. Everything was delicious. A crusty bread was shared at the... More

A group of us returned to McKinnon's for the fifth or sixth time. As usual, we received a warm greeting from the owner -- and that was the last we saw of him. The waiter, who has been there for years, seemed very rushed. As such all of us felt pressure to order drinks, order our meals, and don't occupy... More

If you're looking for warm, inviting service and delicious classic Louisiana seafood, McKinnon's the place to go. Service in so many restaurants has gotten too rushed and casual. McKinnon's is traditional and respectful, the way many restaurants used to be. Looking forward to our next visit!

I have grown to truly love this restaurant. Its not new or chic but it is like a step into a time capsule for some of the best taste of french cajun/creole outside of the pelican state. I love the food but the weekend bar scene with karoke of the 40-70s is such a refreshing chain. The owner Azid and... More

You can always depend on the crew at McKinnon's to deliver the freshest and best tasting food to your table. A great place to take a first time guest or for a special event. It's one of the restaurants that you can actually hear the people you are with talk and have a good conversation. Don't miss this one.

We were in Atlanta for a business meeting and did not feel like getting the car out of the parking deck to find a place to eat so we asked at the front desk and they recommended Mckinnons Louisiana Restaurant. It was a short walk and we were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable... More

We started at the bar for a few drinks before our meal. They have a piano player and "gentle" karaoke. It's very relaxing and sets the mood for dinner. They have a regular following with many guest having come for years and years. I was part of a group of five (two couples and a single). I had the soft... More

I would but my husband and I frequently eat in New Orleans, and had high expectations for this restaurant. First thing that was disappointing, was finding out of the prefix $45 menu which was not clearly advertised prior to reserving our dinner this evening. Secondly, the service was very slow, and waited nearly an hour for our entrée to arrive.... More
