Top Notch in Buckhead

I have been to Chops many times over the years. Chops rarely disappoints, but occasionally everyone slips. Had dinner there recently with two guests and everyone was thrilled with their choices. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Chops Lobster Bar. From an excellent wine list to wonderful salads to spectacular steaks and decadent desserts, we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The brandy pepper steak (filet) was quite possibly the best steak I've ever enjoyed. (And I know a good steak when I'm served one.). The pepper rub complimented the tender, delicious... More

What a great place, we have been going here for years and it is still one of the top restaurants in Atlanta. The seafood and steaks are just plain awesome. Excellent service.

Dined for my husband's birthday - second year in a row we have done so at Chops (not the Lobster Bar but could not find a listing for just Chops on TripAdvisor). The soft shell crab appetizer special was so good we could have eaten it for our main course! Also tried the raw oysters - also good! Ordered the... More

I'm a bit of a princess when it comes to how my steak is cooked. I like it rare and I'm always very specific about it. Not raw but a cool red center which is how it's always described. Strangely I've had to send back steaks at Bones and Ruth's Chris because they overcooked it which you hate to do... More

The wife and I visited Chops Lobster Bar to celebrate our Anniversary late last month. What a perfect place to have a nice dinner in ATL. The service by our waiter Devon was spectacular, he did not miss a beat and was on top of our ever request. I have to give 5 stars to the Calamari starter, the sweat... More

Tasty lobster and Filet Mignon. Loved their lobster Mac and Cheese, too! Inviting atmosphere and although they were quite busy, they food came out in a timely fashion. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Atlanta. One minor problem was the signage on the building is hard to see but once you see the Ritz Carlton pull in there... More

The experience met out high expectations. The service was excellent and all dishes were very good. The only surprise was that our one pound loaded baked potato came to the table cold. We sent it back and received just what we expected as a terrific side for our steaks, fish and lobster.

We enjoyed this meal very much indeed! A little on the pricey side but by far the best seafood I've had in a long time. I got the seafood trio, lobster, salmon and crabcake, and it was heavenly, especially the crabcake!

Started off with the fried lobster tail which was outstanding. The calamari was nondescript. The NY strip and veal chop were excellent and cooked to perfection. The sides of brussel sprouts and lyonnaise potatoes were bland and not very appetizing. For desert we had bread pudding and creme brulee. The deserts were okay, but nothing memorable. There was no presentation... More
