Exceptional Food and Service

As a Foodie at heart, this is one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. We go everytime we are in town. Exceptional, high quality meat and seafood, cooked fresh in an open kitchen. Make your reservation, sit back and enjoy a perfectly prepared meal.

Started off with the fried lobster tail which was outstanding. The calamari was nondescript. The NY strip and veal chop were excellent and cooked to perfection. The sides of brussel sprouts and lyonnaise potatoes were bland and not very appetizing. For desert we had bread pudding and creme brulee. The deserts were okay, but nothing memorable. There was no presentation... More

Ate at Chops steakhouse last night and had a fantastic meal! Dry aged bone in ribeye, mushroom side and brandy/peppercorn sauce to die for.. Very nice experience and excellent service!

First the good: the beef is extraordinary - the best in Atlanta (and the waiters will recommend good cuts without pushing the most expensive ones), lobster is good, and service is friendly, albeit a bit stuffy. There are blemishes: the noise level is too high so conversation is hard, and they need to teach the chef how to make hollandaise,... More

Went here based on the recommendation of a friend that travels to Atlanta a lot. Really impressed. The atmosphere was perfect-fine dining meets fun. Just loud enough to have a conversation but not so loud that we couldn't hear one another. Nice wine list. The lobster mashed potatoes were perfectly cooked. Sometimes in these dished the lobster is rubbery-this one... More

The food and service have always been great here, and yes, we know we will spend a bundle for it. Beware, however, when the waiter suggests the lobster mashed potatoes - they are great - loaded with lobster, not just a few slivers like you usually find in "lobster" mac and cheese. But, they WILL cost you - $27, to... More

Stopped by this restaurant on the recommendation of a colleague who lives in the area. Glad I did. Parking for this location is fairly easy -- it's a $2 valet, and they are quick. No issues getting right to the table, and getting my car in less than 2 minutes when I left. The waitstaff are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and... More

Chops Lobster Bar, not to be confused with the Chops Steakhouse chain, is some of the best dining I've had in the Atlanta area. On a recent Friday evening my wife, sister and a friend had dinner there. I would definitely recommend the fried lobster tail appetizer, very decadent and almost a meal in itself. The 8 ounce peppercorn filet... More
