Good sevice, good food, very nice atmosphere

Came here with another couple. While we enjoyed a quiet table inside to take advantage of the a/c on a warm night, we would love to come back in cooler weather and sit on the covered deck area. Lovely atmosphere and we had a very good meal. they were sold out of several things but plenty of great... read more

Dine on a quiet tree lined street right in the heart of Buckhead. The octopus appetizer is a winner! The menu has changed and all the dishes are unusual. Atlanta Halibut w/spring pea puree, forbidden rice and lemon jam was excellent - $28. Try the red grouper, fava beans, spring onion risotto and hedgehog mushrooms -$27. Wine prices are very... More

This is not the first time we've eaten at this restaurant and previous cases have been better but never great. This time, however, the situation was so bad that we will not return. The table had not been cleaned, and was gritty with urban dirt, the soup and salad were ok, but the entrée was weak. The pork was basically... More

This is a great old Atlanta restaurant. So much of the Buckhead area has been taken over by trendy, hip restaurants. This is a true dining experience with great food and an attentive staff. Set in an old home with creaky floors that or so quaint you'll feel like you were sitting in an Italian mothers home. The different rooms... More

This restaurant ended up being a very nice meal on a weekend. It appears to be in an old house and is what I would call off the main drag of Buckhead. I had the swordfish and it was truly one of the best I've ever had. It is a bit pricey, compared to the portion, and we finished it... More

Portofino was hands down the finest antipasto Italian menu ive encountered in atlanta. The cured meats and artichoke and octupus was to die for. Dont wait dont read any further go make a reservation.

4 older people ate here on a rainy Monday night. Restaurant was not crowded, so they were gracious when we asked to be moved to a table that was not right nest a loud and happy group. Food was good, service excellent, acoustics bad.

The food here is excellent but if you are looking for a leisurely meal this might not be the spot for you. All of the food was served quickly - we assumed that they were trying to turn tables quickly on a busy Saturday night - but the waiter never rushed us. Dress is casual and prices were reasonable. Though... More

We had a fabulous evening and meal with old colleagues/friends. Made this reservation because it is a good choice.

Six of us dined at Portofino on December 30. This was my second time to dine there. I had a spinach salad that was terrific. My entrée was grilled trout and that was sensational. I did not have an appetizer or dessert. We had drinks and wine. The cost per person including tax and tip was about $67. This is... More
